They can be. Hell, they may be better next year... They were 3 and 4 last season, yet never lost by more than 6 points.

UCLA’s record is deceiving, they will give LSU a stiff test.

Remember couple years ago the Aggies were up like 30 points or more and lost to UCLA. They thought is was over and just stopped playing hard. Crazy game

If LSU’s defense isn’t ready to play 4 quarters we might see something similar.

In terms of talent UCLA is about on par with Kentucky. The thing that makes UCLA dangerous is their 4 and 5 year three star prospects that have grown to become good football players. Most of our 4 and 5 star talent leave after 3 years.

With that said, I'd take talent over experience almost every time. It doesn't take much experience for talent to get up to speed.

Yeah and Texas had Sam Ehlinger who is a good college QB who is tough and can get you tough yards. Sam had good WRs and a really good OL protecting him too.

Glad you mentioned this. The fans need to discuss this so the media ask Coach O about it to keep reminding the players it's a 60 minute game.

It was more Rosen lit on fire and was flawless in the 4th Quarter comeback of the decade.

LSU has far superior talent than UCLA. Per 247sports, UCLA's last 3 classes are ranked 40th, 33rd and 31st.

LSU is ranked 3rd, 4th and 5th over the same period.

If LSU doesn't win this game by double digits then it's on the coaches.

Yeah UCLA would not finish 8th in the SEC, more like 11th or 12th. Also this UCLA team isn’t nearly as talented as the one that beat A&M and only did so after the aggies fell asleep after embarrassing the Bruins for 3 quarters. If we don’t win comfortably it will be another disappointing season. With that said the Tigers win easy

Nothing about playing against a team from Los Angelos at their place is easy

UCLA has been struggling for several years now. They haven't had a winning season in 5 years. They play in a massive stadium that is never close to being filled making what crowd they do draw seem even smaller. As far as difficult home field advantages UCLA is one of the worst.

Is it just a Louisiana and/or Cajun thing where an inferiority complex is so deeply ingrained that you think EVERYONE is against you...no matter all objective evidence to the contrary? Again, UCLA hasn't had a winning season in FIVE years. One would think that wouldn't be the case if "crooked officials" were out there fixing games for them.

Sort of reminiscent of the opener at Texas,

It is actually NOTHING reminiscent about the game at Texas. That LSU team was ranked 6th, coming off a 2018 Fiesta Bowl win, and thought of as a potential playoff team. Texas, coming off a Sugar Bowl win, was ranked in the top 10 and looking at that game to validate the program was "back" as a powerhouse. The hype going into that game was big and the atmosphere was electric.

With the UCLA game LSU will be coming off their worst season in two decades. UCLA won't be ranked. LSU will probably be ranked somewhere between 15-20 with very little national expectations. The Rose Bowl, assuming fans are even allowed, will be dead or at minimum, have a crowd of more LSU fans than UCLA fans.

Not everything has to be a hyperbolic referendum on something.
