If you couldn't root for the gators, who would you root for. Lots of interesting responses, but more than a few said LSU, including myself.
My reason was I've always liked LSU. Great fans/tailgaiting, nice color scheme, great teams of late, and the best band in the SEC (possibly the nation).
So I guess who would you guys root for if you COULD NOT root for LSU? My guess is not very many on here will say Ole Miss, No?

My favorite other team in the SEC is probably Miss St...but I think that may be cuz I've just always felt a bit sorry for them.
Sorry fella but I still haven't forgotten the BEATINGS we took on a regular basis from you guys in the early 90s so I couldn't pull for Florida although of course I pull for them outside of the SEC.

If it has to be in the SEC? Maybe Georgia. If not, I'd root for Michigan or Texas Tech.

If I couldn't root for LSU, I'd want to root for the program that I think is most similar to LSU. In the SEC, that would be Florida. The Swamp is definitely my favorite place outside of Tiger Stadium to watch a game, and the fan bases of the two schools are similar. Also Florida, like LSU but to an even greater extent than LSU, has a well rounded athletic program in general, with great teams in a lot of different sports.
