Itz the kid from University. Fastball 85 to 89 with 3 other pitches. And he plays first base. Probably why PM didn't want him he would take Willis or Beloses out of lineup to play.

Who says he’s the top lefty?
Never mind, ANY lefty would be an improvement, if for nothing else, BP.

Is he 5’6” 160 lbs and can barely hit it out the infield? If not, Paul doesn’t want him

Actually he played first base in the state championship game vs St Charles. I was there he looks like a big kid 6.1 maybe

Probably 6’3 and switch hits with pop from both sides. He’s an Ethan Small type pitcher who can vary his delivery too. He’d be an asset at some point if not right away.

Perfect size for Paul. That's all Paul needs to know. He won't see the young man play until he arrives on campus. Wait Paul can't jump on a golf cart and check out the young man himself???Hum!

Is he getting more scholarship money there than he would be here? He's been committed to ULL since his freshman year, maybe there is some other connection.

Maybe the two lefties we do have signed are just better.

There are a lot more factors than I'm sure you've ever considered.

Do you think two lefties, one of whom is Juco, are enough?

I always wondered about this. Aside from the occasional outlier, the LSU team looks much smaller than most of the other teams they play.

With limited scholarships I will never understand why LSU doesn't look for guys that can pitch and hit.

This has been proven false 100 times
Even if true. Who do you considersmall that shouldn't be playing besides Hughes
Smith, Watson, and Duplantis?

You think Miss St is big? They have no one as big as Garza, or Beloso.
Ark's SS and CF are even smaller than our SS and CF

This is what I don't get about our inability to bunt. This is the prototypical #2 hitter. Sac bunt the leadoff over to 2nd

One or two players bn smaller doesn’t justify. Overall most teams are bigger than LSU. Hell, Paul even admits he recruits shortstops and then repositions them

Depends if McMurray is suppose to be back.

2 guys ready and one to develop wouldn’t be a bad start. None of them are unseating a weekend starter. Just need to be able play matchups.

True. He recruits speed...and we don't even steal bases

Tell me the players you consider small that shouldn't be playing besides Hughes

This is a legit critcism but speed doesn't equal small
We do need to put more pressure
Gio is over 6ft and will probably be 180-190 next year and is really fast but he's skinny right now, not small

If I had a kid good enough to pitch in the SEC, I wouldn't let him get within a hundred miles of PM and Dunn. All these pitchers on the roster, and most of them are hurt. They're always hurt.
