Are we counting top 5 while at LSU or top 5 including what they do after LSU? If it's the latter, Brian Wilson will eventually be top 5, if he isn't already.

I thought that was too obvious, thinking you would trick me. God bless Todd Walker. He is my favorite LSU Tiger ever, any sport.

2003 Epstein traded for him from the Reds. Walker hit .313 and had 3 Hr's in the series with the A's. Went on to have two more in the ALCHS against the Yankee's. One of the top tigers of all time!

If we're including post-LSU careers also...

Shaquille O'Neal
Albert Belle
Seimone Augustus
Kevin Mawae
Alan Faneca
Brian Wilson*
Random Track Stars**

Shaq, Mawae and Faneca are future Hall of Famers in their sports. Augustus likely will be. Belle would also be a likely pick if he wasn't so disliked.

*It's too early to say for Wilson but I suspect he'll replace Belle on that list.

**I have no idea really who we've produced. I do know that Donovan Bailey trained at LSU at one time.

Does not belong on the list. I could count 5-6 other BB players that are more worthy.

Rudy Macklin
HC Carter
Cookie Man
John Williams

chris jackson?? that kid was awesome. to bad he didn't make it like Shaq in the pros. Was the second best BB player in tiger history, Just behind P.M. Shaq was the most physically dominate though.

now I am not trying to take away what he has done, but I think a lot of people are focused on here. Over 30 years LSU has had some great football players pass through at all positions, hard to put someone based on a good year in top 1/2

You CAN'T have a top 5 list. Way too many great athletes and ambassadors to the school and state that played at LSU in the last 30 years. It should be a top 50

got to be up there! but i agree, too many tigers to form a top 5 that everyone would agree on.

i know he didnt have the greatest stats but i like WP31 as a top 5 "tiger" in the last 30. just kinda like the way he represented LSU.

Well the ground work of LSU sports was laid way before 30yrs ago....we should be paying tribute to the Cannons, Tittle's,Casanova's, MIKE WILLIAMS, Pettit's,Maravich's, Collis Temple's these last 30yrs guy's should kiss these guy's asses for what they created! Lsu has been great for alot longer than last 30 yrs!
