This will be the 1st time since 2011 we finished higher than our pre-season ranking.

2016 - 8 wins
2017 - 9 wins
2018 - 10 wins

There's a lot that needs to improve, but I feel a lot better about 2019 than I did about 2018.

Unfortunately quite a large percentage of this fan base are spoiled and entitled. Anything less than winning every game and the national championship won't be good enough.

So you can never point out negatives the team needs to fix? Like ever? Hope the team doesnt have that mindset. You should always point out the bad as well as the good. Only way you get better.

It's a free country. You can point out whatever you want.

I have a different mindset about it. I watch the games to enjoy seeing the team play. I get excited for the big plays, I cheer for the wins. Sure, I point out flaws from time to time, but it's not the focus of my fandom.

I am glad we are going to finish in the top 10 and that we have won 10 games.

To each his own though.

I see not much difference overall between Orgeron and Miles last few years here so far. Stagnant offenses at times, only successful offenses when we get transfer QBs. Stout defenses. Ugly wins.

I feel your list is legit, but, I believe I do see a difference. In short, I think we are better, just not as talented. Also of note, while I think Emsminger is serviceable and an upgrade over what we had, he still leaves a lot to be desired. The reality to me is that, in spite of highly rated recruiting classes under Miles towards the end, there were quite a few misses (especially in BOTH lines). As for missing/developing a QB, getting Joe B was a big deal. With pretty much everyone coming back next season on that side of the ball, we will see about QB development under O.

Gonna be hard to improve next year from 10-3 tho

If LSU loses 3 games again, with the favorable schedule next season, something seriously went wrong.

5-3 in the conference, 3rd in the West. That’s unacceptable. Sorry if it is for you.

Can I be happy with a top 10 finish but also complain about being generally bad on offense most of the year?

10-3 very easily could have been 12-1 if we even hd a middle of the pack offense in the SEC. Ensminger needs to go back to being a TE coach

This is the expectation. I wouldn’t call it great.

So many were saying we would be lucky to win 7 games. Personally I was hoping for 8 but had so few answers offensively. Honestly despite not liking some of the playcalls throughout the year, which I’m sure I wouldn’t like all the playcalls no matter who was calling them, I thought our offense did great this year considering the lack of experience on that side of the ball. Sure I would like to see a more aggressive offense, especially one that when they have the ball late with a chance to clinch the game with a first down that would trust the qb to make the play instead of always counting on the defense. We have a ways to go but I’ll admit I’m presently surprised with the success this season

Strangely few LSU or national writers predicted it.

10 Wins, Top 5 recruiting Class, top 10 pre-season ranking next year. If anybody is not happy with that then you are just farking with us.

You have PropagandOs coming on here and making this about Orgeron and all these other things instead of letting fans across the board enjoy the win. These negative comments are being provoked, presumably by people who are running back to the players and making them think that people are critical of them along with the coaching staff, instead of separating the criticism.

The achievement for these players this year with all the adversity, amazing.

As far as the staff goes:

Good job on the new year bowl win, and recruiting class. Fail to fix the slow developing routes or make changes that need to be made and come out next year and drop an early game to UT then expect it to be like 2016.

I'm sure that's what Ed's contract states. Expectations: surpass vegas over / under odds.

Based on perceived strength of schedule.
