Took me 24 hours, but rewatched game since I got back from Vegas We are fine

We beat ourselves and that is frustrating.
These are things that can be fixed and this team will win 9-10 games. Not good enough for 12 team playoff with 9 I get it
That’s why that sucks
I truly understand BK frustrating about not putting the game away when you can.
Last year we didn’t have that ability with our defense. This defense won’t be top 10 but the overall improvement was vastly noticeable watching replay
They are much better coached already and it will improve
Which is why it would be nice to have a cupcake game like 90 percent of teams do
Yeah it stings……but this isn’t the end of the season

Our touchdown celebrations are next level. Disconcerting signals in game one is elite. Lots to work on but I like where we stand.

The team is fine but its still a brutal loss and the worst day of the bk era.

It’s not realistic to ask your team to have a killer instinct late in the game when we went ultra conservative with a 4 point lead. Our offensive playcalling once we got up 4 was horrible. It felt like Les Miles trying to sit on a 4 point lead with 15 minutes to go. If you want your team to put away their opponents, then don’t take your foot off the gas from a playcalling perspective.
The reason for optimism is that BK’s teams have improved drastically throughout the season since he’s been at LSU. From a talent and performance standpoint, we’re not that far away. But playcalling has got to change.

Our defense gave us two chances to go up double digits and we didn’t have that killer instinct and I think that’s where BK is frustrated. They gave them the opportunity
One thing that we will need to see is Nuss performing like he can when it matters. Because last night he tightened up obviously
It’s one thing to see the talent in mop up time and meaningless bowl game, but having that mental fortitude when it’s in the line is what separates the really good ones

I think my frustration lies in how we were in position and likely should have won. If we would have won that game the improvement that we saw would have been evident to all.
If the team responds to BKs anger and holds themselves accountable, then they will improve and win a lot of games and be in contention at the end of the season.
I think BK has the coaching staff the help him with the necessary accountability.
My one big question mark is the play calling of Sloan. Hopefully he improves and is just rusty.

Garret also needs to be more of a leader and not a cheerleader.
When he throws a normal touchdown during the game, he goes nuts , jumping up and down running around like he just won the superbowl.
Watch Burrow when he would throw a TD in middle of the game. He would raise his hand like the Ref " TD and then walk to sidelines knowing he needs to keep producing.
If you throw a game winning TD late in the game, by all means go nuts.
Not when its just a TD during middle of game . Alright to get excited but settle down .
