Remember when Saban came back and we beat him with the team he recruited and Les miles coaching
Was emotional win, we wanted to tell everyone we had the better coach yada yada yada
Will how did the next few years workout for us
Relax you lost to the team he built on the road, with possibly the best QB in college. And you took them to the wire
You somehow play then in playoffs late this year, you will win that game with more experience and more time for this team to gell
Relax you hired kiffin for the long haul not this game

Too many are focused on this moment and act like we hired Kiffin for just this season. Yes, we spent a lot on this roster but it’s also because you had to essentially replace the two deep at most positions. Then you still have to develop these guys, build a culture, learn how to win games like last night…we’re 3 fricking games in. Relax
The loss sucked but overall trajectory of the program looks good.

I get the sentiment. And yes we are better off long term, but this is the Portal era. There's no reason LSU shouldn't compete with anyone this year. It's completely different. Saban walked into a terrible Bama team and Les was handed the keys to a Bugatti. Lane walked into an equally atrocious roster, but was able to utilize the portal better than anyone ever has.
OM is absolutely tricked next year when Chambliss leaves unless they pull off a portal miracle, but to be honest I dont see a big name choosing to go there unless they pay an absurd number.

Exactly. But people have short memories, and a lot of folks on here now seem to be post-early Miles days.
