These freshman today looked outstanding. Physically and mentally they all looked the part and ready to contribute.
Evans and Cooper may be the best 2 pitchers out of Texas this year. Curiel is an advanced hitter. Cade and Costello have such pure bat speed. John is a hoss. Mikey looks good.
The future is also beyond loaded. Granted, there are lots of draft risks, that we will lose, but try this on for size…Milam, Brown and Anderson would be 15th, 16th and 17th ranked kids in our 2025 class. 2026 is also just as loaded.
I liked Mainieri. He got plenty of really good players. But he didn’t spread his wings nationally like Jay is doing. He got a few top of the line guys but always would have some holes. Jay has more guys than positions right now. In part I know NIL and the portal have helped but we are set up for being one of the most talented teams for a long time.

I’m not talking about the results. I’m talking about our talent and what we can control. Our kids talent looked the part.

We got a good one in Jay Johnson. Enjoy this shite. 2023 was just the first of many.

A freshman throwing 98 is still 98 against the yankees

What does that have to do with freshman talent?

What a retarded arse post

The last two classes have been awesome. You are short changing PM though. He recruited well for a while.

We are becoming the Alabama of Baseball.
Continue to have the best recruiting classes and win and turnout pro prospects. Jay is doing an incredible job. The freshman looked physically mature as well mentally. Even tho it was just one game the same can be said for last years freshman

Amazing what leaving your office, doing your job and engaging your new potential key personnel will do for a coach.

For Gods sake it was Purdue - Fort Wayne, not the ‘27 Yankees. Yes they did some nice things but it was against an inferior opponent. Please try to keep that in mind when all of the freshman have their struggles.

If they would have barely won 4-2 against Elon then all the bitches on here would have been complaining. Yes they are an inferior opponent but they looked the part yesterday doing exactly what they were supposed to do. Cant say the same for the #1 team in the Nation that scored 3 of its 4 runs with bases loaded walks while it was raining.

Our kids talent looked the part.
Let's see how it goes as the year moves along.
And I certainly hope you're right

No we already are the LSU of baseball. Our team and tradition is the standard.

I remember the Paxton hype as a freshman too. He then started SEC play something like 1-28 iirc. I’m pumped about the young guys but let’s pump the brakes until the competition ramps up
