We obviously have a strong team… even a great team. The Purdue pitchers were throwing 86 mph or less. The CF dropped two balls in the first inning. Our starter threw 93 and by the 4th inning had dropped to 90 we have some work and growth to do for the SEC season

I agree that we have looked good against a team that is a little better than an elite high school team. This is not a sec team, not even a good team in the smallest of conferences. A 98 mile an hour fast ball will be smashed in sec play without a couple of other pitches working. Our hitting was against fast balls at 85. Yes we have recruited great ball players but we need to tap the brakes just a little to see how these young men do against SEC seniors who have seen everything I saw yesterday from our pitching before.
