As the #1 team in the country is set to visit the PMAC tomorrow night, we look back on another huge out-of-conference game in LSU basketball history.
On January 29th, 2000, Cool Hand Luke Walton and #5 Arizona came to the PMAC to face a 15-3 LSU team looking for a signature win. Behind big efforts from Stromile Swift and Jabari Smith, LSU destroyed the Wildcats, 86-60. The game was never close.
But the moment of the game was provided by Tiger great Jabari Smith... a moment that will forever live in Brady Ball history...

15 year old me was so excited about this game.
I legit thought we were the best team in the country and were going to win the national title

In that video, Stromile's reaction on the last dunk clip is amazing.

So good.
Any time Jabari or Stro dunked that year the celebrations were amazing. Jabari's throat slash was legendary. You can't get away with that stuff anymore.

what was better: the LSU LSU LSU trim on the jerseys or the triangles?
Posted on 1/29/16 at 11:26 am to S
LSU LSU LSU trim but it's close.
Our jerseys are so so so terrible now. Especially the white and purple. At least the gold are cool because they're gold.

the throwbacks we wore towards the end of the 05/06 season were legit

Posted on 1/29/16 at 11:32 am to S
If we busted out a gold throwback tomorrow...

Pretty sweet? Those are the best jerseys LSU has ever worn in any sport. So clean. We should wear them every game.
