Since you sound like a Saban lover, are you old enough to remember Saban losing to UAB at home in 2003?

Sabans national title winning team lost to UAB?

now THATS a heck of a turnaround, losing to UAB and going on to win a national championship.

And I thought we got rid of Miles to beat Bama, not just play them close

I hate when people think the Miles firing was about Bama. He didn't lose to Bama 3 or 4 times a year.

And go all the O-Haters, Your opinion doesn't matter. O is our coach for 2-3 years. LSU fans are going to have to cope with that.

I don't care if we lost to Troy, a fanbase turning on a 1st year coach for a 3 loss regular season is ridiculous and bad for the program.

who is turning on the program? the OP clearly is asking an open question for anyone who has any modicum of critical thinking skills to examine the schedule.

Brady hoke and will muschamp went 11-2 at michigan and UF , respectively. how is that working out for them?

It was absolutely about Bama... mainly. Not the only factor, but you can't win the west without being able to be competitive with Bama.

Remember UF last year? Winning out isn’t guaranteed.

very true. We could lose to any of the 3 we have left. My guess is we will have a close game with at least two of them and I don’t think we go unscathed. Hopefully we are 6-2 in Sec at the end but I’m not going to bet on it.

What makes you think us "O-Haters" aren't coping. Let's face it, you don't want us coping, you want us to celebrate a mediocre hire for a preeminent program. I'm sorry, but I won't do that.

please explain, using FACTS why you are still stuck on this concept of "mediocre" hire ... specially since he will be around for a while and for now achieving results.

I don't like O either. I never said we should celebrate mediocrity. Alleva's "nationwide" search ended with our DLine coach that didn't have a job in 2014. That's horrible. but to hate on O because his boss is an idiot is stupid and childish.

preeminent program

We aren't. We have been 3rd best in our division since 2012. Spears was right when he said it.

Your problem is that you still think of LSU like you did 10 years ago. We aren't far. but we aren't elite.

State and Troy.

Those are facts whether you choose to acknowledge them or not.

And how about the story (I won't call it a fact as I don't know for sure) that to turn the season around, Alleva had to have a meeting with O and allegedly had to get him to stop interfering with offense.

It definitely doesn't mean as much as it did in the past, but from where the team was earlier this season to how improved it is now represents an outstanding coaching job, IMO.

Let's see how we close out before we start sucking each other's dicks

I put "hate" in quotes, because I'm an adult, and I do not consider stating facts as hating.

You know what, you're right that we no longer are. However, I'm not a fatalist. I understand that conscious actions can bring about positive or mediocre results, depending on the actions taken. I'd prefer my alma mater to take positive actions, and I will complain when they do not.

Exactly. We have fallen and Miles had to go. I didn't like the hire, but I still give him credit for turning this team around after the sluggish start.

11th most winningest program of all time.
3 national titles.
14 conference titles.

yeah, just some run of the mill program.

Oemgee! You want FACTS! I mean, they're not difficult to discern. They're public knowledge. You just choose to ignore them.
