Agreed until 1 leaves a fastball up in the zone to give a hr and we lose 1-0

If we were undefeated right now, it would be the same thing.

Being no hit and one game above 500 is the same thing as being undefeated? You’re a constant poster never with anything substantial, but this is just retard like.

Well I don’t see us having the arms to win the CWS with a team batting average of .227 like UCLA...

No hitters are just a part of baseball.

This is a very similar situation to Les Miles

OMG!!!! Really?? I've never heard this before. That's an amazing deduction on your part. How ever did you arrive at that conclusion? That's deep thinking my man, truly deep.

How can this happen to L S U fans? We deserve championships. It's our entitlement.

I don’t disagree with you but I’m not saying fire him now I’m saying if he doesn’t go to the World Series then it’s time to let them go. If I were Woodward that would be my ultimatum to him. Make it to the World Series or We’re gonna have to look in a different place

It's the same thing in the sense that the season can't be won or lost in the first 3 weeks. What season goals have we been eliminated from? Conversely, if we were undefeated, what championship would we have won? I'm saying my approach to the season is the same this time of year. There's too much baseball remaining to be making final decisions on the team.

I've already been on record with having no problem with this. Omaha is the standard. I get that Paul went all in for the 2017 team and with the roster limitations he needed to retool the roster. But, there's no reason 3 years later that we have to start so many young players. The inexperience won't be an excuse at the end of the year.

There really is a lot of season left, but this is the worst I have ever felt about the hitting.

I don't typically agree with the usual early season we won't hit crowd, but this year seems concerning.

The strikeouts are most concerning. Perhaps they are on par with previous seasons and I don't realize it? I hope someone can come up with some detailed stat comparisons.

with the pitching lsu has this team can be dangerous if the bats wake up. Its way too early to write them off.

Let the season finish. Baseball only fans are the worst.

Right

But it doesn’t mean that the process is sound.

I don’t mind losing early just like you, but not hitting is one of hose either you can or can’t. I’d much rather have a 10-3 record to fall back on late.

My fear is the hitting will be even worse next year

We knew coming in to this year that they had nobody to replace Josh Smith’s production.

I look at this roster and wonder who can even replace Garza’s production? Then you add Cabrera on top of it.

The signee from Florida will never make it to campus.

It could get worse than this.

On the weekend:

34 Ks
8 BBs

We knew this weekend would be a solid barometer. The pitching really shined but the hitting is worrisome.

An extremely rare part of baseball. Aluminum bats make it even more rare than in the major leagues. As far as I understand it it is so rare that LSU has never had anyone throw a no-hitter against it.
