To say I am excited about Burrow next year is an understatement.

This guy is all heart and one of the toughest motherfrickers to wear the purple and gold. Watching him not lose a step after getting absolutely murdered, and continue dropping dimes was incredible.

With an entire off season under his belt, coaches now able to address and capitalize on his strengths/weaknesses, an improved OL, and elite level RBs headed to Baton Rouge, Joe could be one of the top 3 QBs in the SEC next year.

Cheers to you Joe! Geaux Tigers.

From a toughness standpoint, he is pretty hard to beat. He also showed an ability to make plays when he gets protection. Now, let's just make sure he stays protected next season.

The kid plays QB with a LBers mentality.

After watching him play this season, I can see why so many Ohio State fans were ready to adopt LSU as their “other team” when he transferred here. Hard to root against a guy who plays with that kind of toughness and heart.

Exactly, he has the propensity to be an absolute play maker given protection and scheme.

Never thought I'd see a QB tougher than Etling. Burrow has impressed me

Dude is a straight up baller. He said it right in an interview early in the season. He said and I quote “I’m a football player”.
A top notch badass he is.

Safe to say he’s right on track for a Tom Brady like career.

And think about a whole offseason and spring to work with these bad arse WR'S.
Chase, Marshall, Jefferson, sully, dillion, Anderson, etc. My god that group will be scary next year

For the first time since Mettenberger LSU has a QB capable of winning games, not just "taking care of the ball". Part of it is that the OL MUST get better. But the offensive staff also MUST expand the offense to allow Burrow the chance to be a big time playmaker.

This season for Burrow to have success he had to get absolutely perfect protection along with making an absolutely perfect throw into tight coverage simply because the passing game approach rarely did anything to give him easy throws to open receivers.

LSU is going to have a VERY veteran QB next year along with experienced WR's. The OC will have ZERO excuse for not expanding this offense. Three of the 4 playoff teams this year had 1st year starting QB's. In this era of college football teams can have championship level offenses despite youth at QB.

If there was EVER going to be a time for Ensminger to significantly expand the offense, next year is it. No excuses!!!

It's only half sarcasm half not so much. I see a lot of similarities between the two players. Both in college careers had, similar programs and I see a lot of familiar traits personality wise. Joe needs to work on a quicker release but i'm not sure Brady has any special tools that Burrow doesn't really have.

Heard that, I am pumped to see what this guy can do given proper preparation and a full off season working on timing with these WRs.

I don’t understand people that say he’s just a game manager or a serviceable QB, and compare him to another Danny Etling (no offence). Guy comes in a month before the season, competes to win the job and locker room, plays arguably the toughest schedule in college football, and leads us to a ten win (should have been 11 win and could easily have been 12)season beating several ranked opponents, passing for nearly 3000 yards and accounting for 23 TDs. He did this with questionable o line play and a slew of freshman receivers. He may not have every elite physical tool, but he is a very good QB that can be a great QB if surrounded by the right pieces.

I am very excited to see what he does next year with a season of SEC play under his belt. Pocket awareness and getting through reads quicker can be improved but as far as I can see that's about it.

His final passing numbers were 2894 yards passing, 16-5 TD to int, and another 399 running the ball

Just short of 3,300 total yards on the season
