Did you ever get into any trouble growing up? If you did, your dad must've sucked as a parent...by your rationale.
Miles has over 100 kids to keep track of. He can only do so much. 18-22 year kids are going to frick up.

You planning on banning TigerFred

But seriously, there is an undeniable PATTERN since 2007 of "star" players doing whatever they damn well please and nothing seems to be done to deter this until it's too late.
So either, we are just constantly recruiting low character guys or something else is wrong.

The 18 year old. Otherwise his parents would still be liable.
Is it the coaches fault in the NFL when one of their players gets arrested

Les Miles said something to the effect that it he couldn't play div.1 football. Said it would be a step down.

frick I hate this cliche'. Of course he isn't bigger than the program but it puts us in a big fricking hole especially since we have/had championship aspirations.
Of course it puts us in a hole. He put us in that hole with his selfishness. He grew into an attention whore - I sure hope he's enjoying this attention. We're not.
Collins, Perilleux, Mathieu. Great company eh?

What's the rule if he wants to play somewhere else (College)? Any chance we will see him on the opposite side of the field at some point? TIA
has to sit out a year for D1 but can transfer to a Div 2 school right away

he only played nickel in certain situations.
You do realize that at LSU we only use a nickel in certain situations right.

Since they deleted the thread I'll put it here.

u act as if he played solely as a nickel which isn't true
no I didn't. You said he NEVER played nickel in 2011. I was pointing out how idiotic that statement was since he probably played down there close to 50% of the time if not more.

Damn , three weeks from the start of an exciting season . Oh well , I wish TM7 the best . I am sure the untested players will pick up the slack . It's a tough day

Is Miles their babysitter? They're grown men. The rules are laid out clearly. They continue to violate and Miles has to take action.
This is true. Miles can't follow 100 guys around 24/7. He has no idea what they do when they are on their own time. Also, speaking as someone who went to LSU, neither my parents, my professors, or even my best friends knew everything I did every day. But I also knew the rules which applied to me about classes, grades, staying out of jail, etc., and I followed those rules which I needed to follow (at least most of the time).
TM7, like every member of the team, knows the special rules which apply to them. They have to make their own decisions.

Has anyone even thought about the fact the CBs will have to cover shorter times than LAST year with the BEST DAMNED D-LINE LSU HAS EVER HAD?
I'm not worried at all. Defense becomes a UNIT and not the "TM7 and his buddies" show. Mett balances the offense. We win BCS.

“It really doesn’t matter about my size or weight because I played at a lighter weight and I played like I was 250 or 260,” he said. “The SEC is not about speed or size. I don’t think the SEC is built on speed or size. It’s built for people with great heart and courage. Those are the players that stand out. It’s not about speed or bulk, it’s about the guys willing to sacrifice in the offseason to be able make plays in the season.” Sam Montgomery in the Advocate
