Finley did go sit by himself.

Well, he’s a turnover machine, he had 2 picks in scrimmage. Making some of the same mistakes from last season. I think the guy has a lot of ability but needs a lot of work with processing what he sees and decision making when he’s pressured. Best of luck to him wherever he goes.

Right? Because if a freshmen can’t beat Good SEC teams with a shitty OL and no run support how could he ever succeed?

Yep it was a "shitty OL" which caused TJ to suck. It is amazing that Max moved the team with that same "shitty OL" and LSU managed to win on the road at Florida and won vs. Ole Miss. In addition, when Max came in at A&M after TJ clinched the win for A&M with a horrible Pick 6 LSU went on its ONLY scoring drive of the game.

All you self appointed geniuses need to take it up with the LSU Coaching Staff because they are the ones who pulled TJ and tried to coach him but had to go with more talented players. Maybe they can get you TJ Groupies to understand how bad TJ's footwork is and how far behind he is the other QBs. Do you honestly think that the LSU Coaches did not talk to TJ and tell him where he stood and what the scenario for his playing time would be? It probably wouldn't do any good because you wouldn't listen to them either.

1. There is a difference between Max better and TJ not having what it takes you fricking simpleton.

2. It’s amazing how much better QBs look against bad defenses. TJ was 44/63 for 536 yards 4Tds and 1 Int when he wasn’t playing top 40 defenses.

3. There is also a pretty big gap between Max and fricking SLU

In what world were South Carolina (2-8) and Arkansas (3-7) good SEC teams last year?

I actually Meant “can’t”

My point is Finley is being judged because he lost to Alabam, Auburn and A&M the best three defenses on the schedule. The ONLY 3 top 40 scoring defenses we played.

And Max had 1 good drive against A&M and people forget he looked exactly like a freshmen against Alabama and A&M every other drive.

TJ was in reality the #4 QB after the Spring Game. He chose to transfer because he knew there are better players ahead of him at LSU and a stud coming in next season. The LSU Coaches disagree with your talent assessment of Finley as well.

TJ made the right decision for himself and LSU even though you may be disappointed. You can still be a TJ Groupie and swing from his nuts but he will be in another Uniform.

And that’s why he’s transferring. In a few year I think He could be good, but we’re loaded right now.

frick you.

Finley seems like a good kid. He could have gone elsewhere but he gave it a go at For the home state team and deserves respect.

You’re too busy making an arse of yourself to shite on a kid to get what anyone else is saying.

well that, and his spring practice, topped off by a really bad performance in the spring game.

Look, I like Finley. Seems like a really good guy and I do love his release. Quick and powerful. He just stares down his receivers, and that doesn't work at this level of football.

I hope he crushes it wherever he ends up. But he wasn't good enough here.

A LOT of ability in what area?

He has a strong arm and can throw a football with velocity and distance. That's it.

He has no other attributes that a Major College QB should possess.

If you can't process information quickly, can't read defenses and have feet of granite too, you're dead in the water. These are things that you either have or don't have and can rarely be learned or improved on very much.

You're not playing Big Boy Football and moving to the NFL without these attributes.

at all these TJF Worshippers that are constantly stating that he has such awesome "Physical Upside." Besides having a Rocket Arm, he doesn't have any Upside.

In the right Offense, under the right QB Coach, maybe he could improve enough to be a serviceable College QB. (But that's not LSU's problem or concern now)

Well, I guess you cherry picked what you didn’t like out of the sentence but yet I basically said a lot of what you stated in the rest of the sentence. “ needs a lot of work with processing what he sees and better decision making when he’s pressured “. Yes, I agree, what separates great from ok QB’s, are those attributes and most of the time it’s an inherent quality but I won’t go so far as to say no one can somehow be taught those qualities.

Hopefully for him, he has a great determination to improve and become better in those areas. Him leaving came as no surprise to me. The writing was on the wall. Good luck to the young man wherever he goes.

No hard feelings at all and I'd do the same

Just wish we could've moved him into another position
