That is his best option.

His best option is going somewhere he will start immediately in division 1 and still get looks from scouts. But alas he’s more worried about beating LSU for not giving a subpar player the starting job.

He’s nowhere near good enough to be cocky. He’s extremely raw and needs a lot of work.

The story on him in high school was that he felt like he was too good to put in the work. He was extremely cocky after a win and was essentially uncoachable.
When he had a bad game it was never his fault.
The disparity between his highs and lows were an issue.

He never once said whether he wanted to play against LSU or if he didn’t want to play against LSU. He just said that it played a major factor in his decision.

A bunch of jumping to conclusions in this thread

He says this in regards to the only two teams on his list (Houston was the third) who play LSU every year.

There’s no jumping, the conclusion is obvious. He’s grinding an axe vs LSU.

Its one thing to have a chip on your shoulder, and internalize it to your favor.

Its an entirely other thing to make that statement to the press, publicly.

Is it me or is anyone else here surprised that he was even offered, but now believes he is top tier?

I would welcome that

It’s pretty clear he got the first shot because of Clark poisoning the program

I’m sure he’s a good kid in the sense of not getting into trouble and doing the right things off the field, but his pouting after he got pulled last year and his comments after getting first crack when Myles went down, and now this…kid needs to check himself. He’s nowhere near good enough to be cocky. He’s extremely raw and needs a lot of work.

Where are those guys saying he was not a malcontent? Sure sounds like he is butt-hurt to me...

Let him go to bama and burn one of their seemingly infinite scholarships.

He wasn’t good last year. As a freshman, being thrown into the fire without having been first team. That doesn’t mean he won’t be a good quarterback as a junior or senior. He wasn’t going to play here because we have what seems to be some better qb’s right now. Did he frick your girlfriend or something. Why are you so aggressively against the guy.

He wants to throw mud at a program that he had no business even being part of. It’s laughable and annoying when people shot their pants because he is leaving. TJ is never going to be a qb in the nfl

I think Bama is the best choice. He won't be playing against us and he will take up on of their 33 annual scholarships.
