If Phil Knight is bankrolling the Oregon program, when will programs like LSU move on to a different brand? Just curious if this has been approached before...

Think we could pick some billionaires and give them all Doctorate degrees if they contribute to the NIL fund. Or how about we get a go fund me to help buy a player of need out of the portal. Curious why can't LSU use the 50 million it gets from TV to fund a LSU brand of items and get recruits NIL money to advertise for the brand.

Phil Knight is retired and funding Oregon with his personal money.

Nike is a publicly traded company. They aren’t funding anyone’s NIL.

Nope. Unless Marucci would start making some badass football equipment, no reason to ever change from Nike.

I still think all schools that don't wear Nike look very strange.

That's only if you allow the apparel company to dictate the uniform style. If not, the manufacturer is largely irrelevant. Case in point: Auburn...

Nike is the best provider for the university. The melt that would come from football wearing some disaster from UA or Adidas would be up there with 1/9/12.

The problem isn’t Nike, it’s that Fanatics manufactures almost everything and has a monopoly on all pro sports and most of the collegiate game now.
