time to get rid of coaches show?

even in the worst of times, i have no desire to hear callers bash an honest hard working coach. i understand they are earning an incredible salary and have high expectations, and they understand it as well. they do not need average joe's calling them to make recommendations, insult them, second guess them, etc.
the live audience questions are often equally pointless at best. Evil twin seems to think the show is somehow partially about him. his act got old the first season he showed up. other live audience questions are typically either merely words of encouragement or excessive praise. it's just a game and there is hardly ever any interesting talk about the actual game of football.
the entire production of the coaches show has become a farce. it's embarrassing to listen to and does nothing to enhance LSU in any way at all.
in my opinion, this has been the case not just recent years as miles struggled but long before that as well.
im sure im in the minority, but it's all good. fire away

Orgeron just got beat handily by Troy State and he has a $12 million buyout. I have 0 sympathy

Coaches are paid for doing it

O should simply admit he reacted poorly and get some practice from professional consultants.

I've never even listened to the coach's show, but I'll be tuning in if they continue to be anything like tonight was

Good. Then you have nothing to worry about.

Miles never had callers go in dry, to my foggy memory, the way they've been going in on Orgeron. Partially because although Miles was commonly speculated to be a bumbling buffoon but produced above average results.
Meanwhile, Orgeron has proven irrevocably that he is a bumbling buffoon whilst losing to Troy and getting destroyed by a less-than-average MSU.
Let the callers eat. Football is their life and they feel better actually getting to express themselves directly to the coach- something that's otherwise impossible.

I would agree with this to a point. We are well beyond that point.
Criticism comes with the job performance. O knows, or should know, what the expectations are here and he's paid a ton to produce. There is NOTHING good about what is happening. We're not a rock bottom but we're damn close and with the players we have, that's unacceptable. It's a reflection of the coach.
O is throwing people under the bus left and right, his coordinators, his players, blah blah blah, he gets defensive and pissy (which tells me that he's feeling the heat and he's lashing out, can't handle the criticism he's receiving), he has no accountability and blames stuff on everyone else. The players, the fans, the coordinators, basically everyone except the head coach who, OMG, is O. Gee, wonder why people are looking at you in this train wreck.
He rips his players publicly then says, "we'll recruit better at _______." Well seeing how you just dumped on your players publicly, I'm sure recruits will be lining up to play for a great guy like O.

He also won a natty and got to another one. He would vehemently defend his players which is why his players would run through a wall for the man. And he damn sure never crapped on them in public.
O and Alleva can't get canned soon enough.

Sounds like Ponamsky trying to control the narrative.

I stopped listening to it years ago just for reasons you outlined. The show is pointless with the stupid people calling in.
