The surface inside of it is literally dirt and it's falling apart.

Went in it for the plant/garden show a couple years ago and it's not in good shape.

The only events they really have in there now are like rodeos and livestock events.

80% full and you could hear a pin drop for most of the game. The team is doing their part so I wish our fans would too.

Most of the time I’m the only one in my section standing up and screaming after a big play. It’s weird.

We stink so no one goes! If we win we’ll pack it out!

I was there too. It was loud and people were standing after key plays (of which there were many). My section stood for the last 2 minutes (and some of us are old . )

Coach Wade mentioned how supportive the crowd was last night,

Our problem is that our crowd doesn’t continue to be loud until something significant happens on the court.
It goes dead during timeouts....but that may be because the cheerleaders and dancers come out and the band starts playing, so it’s sit back and be entertained time.
Don’t get me wrong, I love our band and cheer squad, they’re awesome.

I’ve been to a lot of other arenas and I don’t think their bands play anywhere near as much as ours. Some also also have deejays getting the crowd going in the breaks too.

I’ve said many times on here that the PMAC needs to have the seating reconfigured, but that’s another beef, for another day.

“In game” issues I’d fix

1. Get the media out of the lower level stands
2. A little less band during timeouts. More DJ
3. Get real halftime entertainment. Tiger Girls and the musical chairs game get old every game
4. Set up a beer garden outside starting 1.5 hours before the game to get some semblance of tailgating

Why not build a new stadium/practice facility where the Cow palace is?

Yea they need to reconfigure the student section. Only that middle section of the student section stands up during the game. The section to the right always sits down.

I really think the students need a Basketball Student Section 101 as they have been mediocre for years.

It was a shame he had to play in a rodeo arena.
It still had as many or more decent seats than most good programs’ gyms had total seats.

1. I started going to LSU MBB games when I was in the 10th grade in 1966-67. The Ag Center was a HORRIBLE basketball arena. And there was no way we ever got 10K into that craphole. It was a great day when Governor McKeithen got the state to build the Assembly Center.

2. The atmosphere in the PMAC is a function of what the students make it. Last season, for the last 4-5 home games, our students were great and the atmosphere overall was very good. We need you, students, to be there first, and to be loud.

i use to have a basketball media guide from the days when the Ag Center was used for basketball. There was a photo of the area with the basketball court in place on the cover. Unfortunately I believe the 2016 flood claimed it because it's nowhere to be found now.

The PMAC wasn't the loudest last night, and it wasn't a morgue either. For a 6PM start on a weeknight, I'd say it was about the way any arena would be.

I’m ready for something new. I hate the huge open air feeling of a big arena. I wish we would build a smaller gym for basketball only. Leave the PMAC for gymnastics and other things. Put the seats right on top of the floor, reduce the height of the ceiling, and reduce the capacity a couple thousand.

LSU has this very gym already in place.
has been there for years. it's located just east of the PMAC 50 yards away.
smaller than the Tulane gym.
