Personally, I think State regresses from here on out. And that's not a knock on our win. In fact, we might have very well gotten them at their best.

I totally misread that...going for more coffee

to me it looks like someone attacked him for being a nega tiger because one daughter went to ole miss and he called them out. Then mentioned the other daughter who went to LSU.

I know this family very well and they are great people. Does Tim have a big head.... absolutely, but you dont become one of the nations faces of sports by not having a big head.

Brando is so full of himself,he positively stinks. He sent his daughter to OLE MISS but claims to be a big LSU supporter, bullshite.

I'm a big LSU supporter, and I "sent" my three daughters to another SEC school. The fact is that they selected their school, and I supported them. Maybe this makes me a fake fan, but I love my daughters more than LSU.

One daughter went to LSU, one to OM. The one who went to LSU is talking smack to him.

I agree. Obviously we could be wrong. I think Auburn wins this game, and then State loses at Texas A&M next to go 0-3. Could wind up in a battle with Arky for last.

That's exactly how I feel. I could be wrong, but that's how I see their season going.

nor any credit to our D to shut down these teams.

I think this is where a lot of people are lacking....I think by the time we get to Bama and then Ole Miss this defense is going to be hungry, improved (if that is possible), and well ready for those challenges.

Why do you people care so much when someone picks LSU

I started the first thread because it was Brando, who I've always liked back to his days on Channel 9. I've always seen him as singing LSU's praises but in that recording he seems to have a lot of contempt for LSU. I was mainly just curious to see if anyone might know why. ...which it seems no one on this board does, just idiots bitching that his daughter went to Ole Miss and speculating that he really craved the Hawthorne job. Maybe he did want that gig but it seems like a big step down from some of his previous jobs.

I like Brando. His analysis here has been pretty bad, because when his Narrative proved wrong, he just stuck with it. The Bumbling Les/Offense Narrative is ingrained. It's why people could pick a team loaded with talent, and with more returning starters than in any year since that great 2007 team, as being essentially the same as last year's super-young inexperienced team. The central tenet of The Narrative has been that all other teams are expected to improve, except LSU, which must stay inefficient at qb,and moribund on offense. It's the same reason analysts can come on my tv and act like LSU 2013 with Mett, Hill, OBJ, and Jarvis never happened. Even when the evidence is there, people gloss over it to preserve their narrative.

I like the sound of his voice. He made a bold prediction and it was wrong. It comes with the territory when you're in that line of work.

absolutely this is it...and honestly, it wouldn't surprise me with him paying money there.

I don't have a problem with Tim saying that LSU would lose to Auburn....but he predicted an arse beating....and for him to say LSU couldn't beat teams like Ole Miss/A&M/Bama without a passing attack is absurd. LSU beat 2 of these 3 teams last year on the scoreboard with zero passing attack...and all three in terms of outplaying the opponent. When you factor in that LSU is MUCH better this year in all phases, and actually appear to have a QB that is competent.....and the fact that Alabama isn't near the team...it just doesn't make any sense whatsoever. That's my only issue. If you are going to talk shite...at least have a clue of what you are talking about...his synopsis was absurd. Of course, I know Tim well, and he always likes to step WAY out there....got so tired of his fly in the ointment crap....

It just wasn't very reasonable...especially when considering all variables....I mean LSU competed with these teams last year and should have beaten all three......and they are clearly a much improved team this year....just didn't make much sense. Otherwise....who cares right?

It's just the same narrative with LSU..."if they get good QB play."

I think State beats Auburn. They have the better QB and they move the ball more consistently while making fewer mistakes. Auburn also has too many questions defensively. But that's their problem now because we have the head-to-head over both teams.

barring any injuries, it will be absolutely improved......Key will have experience....Herron will have much more experience....Tolliver more experience and Mills will have returned.....and they are already good.

Man, you hit the nail on the head. You can find fault with ANY predictor of sports contests but that is NOT a reason to insult their intelligence or bring their family into the fray. Good grief, grow UP! Do you play Pick 'em. How do you do in that sports genius? Tim Brando grew up on my street. I've known him 50 years plus. He is a good man and where his daughter attends school makes no difference in the grand scheme of things. I figure he pulls for the Tigers but has to temper his feelings for the sake of radio/TV, etc. Some of you really should take a look at your values and the way you react to what other people say!

We dominated that game. The score was not reflective.

True, but that game actually does match with Brando's analysis. LSU was the clear better team yet Miss St. had an opportunity to tie it, and even another opportunity to win it.

The Auburn game should have changed any logical person's thoughts on LSU. LSU took a huge step forward in that game...and it's pretty evident that the running game is going to take them pretty far this year. The questions about passing still apply vs. the top teams in the nation. But, even then, you can see LSU slowly developing in the passing game with several games to continue that development.

After 2014, I wasn't real excited about 2015.

After the Miss State game, I thought we would be a four loss team.

After the Auburn game, I'm thinking Atlanta.
