Good, not hating on Mashburn/Bech at TE, but Bech is too valuable in the slot and Mashburn played his heart out. Taylor just got gassed quick. Having Mason Taylor will help a ton.

There’s your starting TE the next 3-4 years. Hall of fame bloodlines and he’s a big son of a bitch so it looks like he can block and catch. He will start day 1.

Yeah, he doesn’t look like a true freshman physically at all. You could tell me he was a SR, and I’d believe you. Did he put on a lot of weight in the off-season? It seems like up until recently, most people talked like he wouldn’t be much of a contributor this year, despite the dearth of talent at that position. Weird.
Saw a few people mention Kole Taylor, and he seems to have improved according to reports. I think he caught a nice TD today. Not 100% sure what portion of practice it was, but I think it was during the 11 on 11 “scrimmage” part. We may be able to go with a 2 TE look some this year after all. Still really glad Storz came back and to have Mashburn back, too. It’s not where BK wants it to be, but looks like the TE position isn’t gonna be the glaring weakness we thought.
