Currently staying in Eunice and know her family. Strong faithful people. I had no idea she had impacted so many. I see her father at daily mass all the time and would see her every now and then. The whole town was supporting her. It’s a tough loss for the town and the timing is rough since it’s homecoming week at St. Ed’s and the Zaunbrecher family does a lot for it. I will go to the wake and funeral. I will be asking for prayers from that little saint.

I'm so very sad to learn Gracie Zaunbrecher passed away. I fell in love with her precious smile through the daily prayer requests and updates I've received the last year or so, and my heart was always warmed to witness the extremes her family and the community have gone through to make her life rich with faith hope and love. I pray her family and the countless prayer warriors who've prayed for her may all draw closer to God and praise Him in rain and shine, that they may all experience His peace and comfort and know He mourns with you. God only Cries for the living.
God has what is called a "Perfect Will" and what is referred to as His "Permissive Will". God does not "Will" something like this to happen; rather, He sometimes allows it because through it He can draw a greater good. Through her illness, her spirit and her fight, that sweet girl has touched the hearts of thousands, even the calloused hearts people like myself who have never met her. My heart has expanded because of Gracie. Can you imagine how many other hearts have grown, especially those who have had the honor to spend time with her? May God be blessed; Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.

A close family member is married into the family and we are all from the same town, it is a very sad time in the community.
As was said earlier, the family displayed INCREDIBLE strength and faith through this entire fight. As was stated by another poster, I would also like to give a huge shoutout to the LSU Gymnastics Team. They forged an incredible bond with Gracie and the family, and they were able give her some joy during her fight.

It brings me such comfort to see her have the experience of her life these last two years and see her enjoy every minute of it, with a smile on her face.

I was able to capture her photo as she and Team Gracie Strong approached the finish line of a 5K for St. Jude's that we put on in Lafayette. Her face was beaming.
I see her having entered Heaven with that same sweet smile. God bless her parents and siblings -- this is so not easy.

RIP Gracie. Thoughts & prayers for the family. I cannot imagine the grief level. There, but for the grace of God go I. I know God has a plan, but so hard to understand sometimes.

What a sad loss. That young lady was an inspiration, and truly an angel. She is with her maker, pain free, and shining with all the heavenly hosts.

Before my son was born I didn’t truly know how much a man could love another person. If anything were to happen to my little guy, my life would come apart.
My heart truly goes out to this family. I hope in time they find the strength to carry on.

Thanks Gracie Marie for the faith you've placed in my heart and countless others. We've gone to your house on many Tuesdays to pray the rosary with you. How fitting to be able to pray the rosary for you on Teusday again. All the Z'S are in our prayers today.
