I hope LSU has something legally binding with Kiffin IF he, in fact, is heading this way after the OM season ends.
Of course, it doesn't need to be released, but Kiffin and crew must have skin in the game if LSU is to wait.
If there is nothing like that in place...Things could get really ugly for the LSU admin.

No coach is worth all this crap. This is WHO Lane is. Do research and quit getting on the Lane Train because you think it's cool.
His record isn't even worth all that we are putting into him IMO.
If LSU threw the sink at him and he chooses to stay at OM; Oh well. They can have him and all the BS that comes with him.
I can't say this enough. LSU will be fine without Lane Kiffin!

Kiffin:
Best season at OM in decades.
High potential to make the playoffs.
Some potential to make the Championship.
Overall a good school and fanbase.
Wanted by at least 3 schools.
LSU:
Wants to make a hire before other coaches are off the table.
Wants Kiffin as first options BUT...see above.
Needs to make a great hire to turn the negative press we have been getting since the BK/SW debacle.
Has to be a hire that at minimum meets the expectations of high level donors.
Florida: I don't give one sh** about Florida.
So, what does LSU do?
Make an offer he cannot refuse and force him to leave behind the OM situation?
Take his "word" that after the season he agrees to principle on the LSU contract?
Keep playing the bidding war with OM and FL with no guaranteed outcome until the OM season is over?
Play the Kiffin / Sexton game for how long?
Move on and get the next best coach available for what LSU needs?
This is a sh** show! And I am glad I am not the one producing in it.

I obviously disagree.
And the fact still remains, neither you or me will know that answer until someone is hired and given the opportunity to prove it. Unless you have some special college coach pickem power I am not aware of...I certainly don't have that.
There are a ton of coaches that schools would not have hired based on certain criteria that in fact are now successful. There is no magic formula.

If we are only looking for the better option in "name" then there is no other that tops LK.
But there are coaches out there that can check the boxes with a little patience and less drama.
I don't need to list them...they are listed on every sports website you go to right now. All I am saying is I don't think we need to get played by LK.
If LSU is confident in getting LK for their price...go for it.

I get the Lane obsession and I don't get the Lane obsession. TBH he really has not set himself apart from anyone in the coaching world other than he's the "name" right now. He has had multiple opportunities and they always end up with average or just above results at best (excluding this year) and a ton of drama.
Do we really need that here, just so we get the "name"?

$87 pp. Looks like some sort of franchise that offers tailgates for multiple venues, etc. Thoughts? Any experience with them?

It's pretty simple. Big Screen TV's, Smart Phones, Busy Lifestyles, Immediate Gratification, Cost Increases, Current Political Environment Of College Athletics and Frankly High Expectations.
If we aren't legitimately competing for a National Championship each year it doesn't mean anything to a lot of fans. Add all those things up and the fact that corporations have bought up a ton of seats/tickets and they simply don't show up enough or stay long enough. The VAST majority of seats open are the 35-35 yd line behind LSU and if they do get full...they are typically the first group out of the stadium.
It really does suck and is discouraging that it has come to this...but as most are saying it is not just LSU.
Don't have an answer to getting that type of atmosphere back unless its a NC year vs. big name.

Always an excuse. As fans we expect the team to show up and give it all the whole game or we bit** the whole time.
But as a fan base this has steadily gotten worse over the years and TV calls us out on it every time.
Sorry, to me it is embarrassing and in MY OPINION does not look good to future recruits.

This will be our first time to Dallas for an LSU game.
Been reading up on the J Gilligans and Humperdinks options.
From those with experience: what is the best option for a group of 6.
Tailgate by stadium?
Or choose the pre planned parties? Which one? If not these two then where?
