This mentality and the fact that it has more upvotes than downvoted makes me want to hurl.

We're almost certainly not making the playoff because of that infuriating UF loss, but our fans should absolutely want to get in via some crazy chaos scenario.

I don't care who we would face, I think we would have a shot at anyone.
But I've said before I'd want to get in even if we had to play the Saints.

You think we will be No.7?

First of all, I think we have basically no shot of the playoffs at this point. REALLY big long shot.

But that being said, it really doesn't matter what we're ranked tonight. If we beat A&M in College Station and these upsets miraculously happened, we'd possibly get in. Our ranking in mid-November is pointless if we win out.

And we'd have to play Alabama in game 1

Why is WSU likely to lose to any of those shitty teams?

I think ND has to lose twice bc Tigers won't jump a 2-loss B12 champ or 1-loss ND

The teams that they've beaten are 49-51. The teams we've beaten are 51-39. And they have no conference championship. If they lose, they should be out.

Cool story bro. It could happen.

I'll just take us beating Rice and the Aggies, then winning either the Sugar or Fiesta and call it a successful season.

Agreed. This team wouldn't stand a chance against any of the other current top 4 teams (other than UGA, but they'd likely beat us in a rematch) in my opinion. We are really not that good.

The OSU/Michigan theory only holds true if the team the loses to Northwestern then wins the rivalry game.

New to college football? Do you not understand now conference champion games work?

We dismantled arguably the top team of 2017. I would love to play anyone in the top 4.

Hold up, we were a two loss team in 07 and made the top 2 but we can’t can’t make the top 4 now!??

I love the optimism but this team isn’t competing with any of the top 4 teams.

LSU will obviously be favored and should win the game. But "very likely" may be a bit of a stretch.

frick no. I'd rather be curb stomped.

There's a chance (however slim) that we win the rematch and exorcise all those demons that have haunted us since 2011.

Plus we'd get to play Bama without SEC refs.

Let’s hope not. Bama would eviscerate us again.
