The sound quality is horrible it sounds like a 1960's mono sound system...and the music that they play is pure garbage....whoever picks the music needs to be fired....
Along with whoever is in charge of our awful concessions...

I would prefer they update/correct that sound system.

This. The stadium’s sound is horribly inconsistent. It’s either ear splitting or inaudible depending on your seats and in many parts of the stadium it’s a jumbled mess due to time alignment issues.

It’s almost like they’ve kept the same speaker locations and configuration and just made them louder every time the stadium was expanded.

The large scoreboard in Tiger Stadium is easily the worst in the SEC West.

Needs to be completely replaced.

The competition:

Agreed….but the plan was to sell ads on the scoreboard until it was paid for and then stop selling the ads that take up over half of it. I don’t remember how long the ads were supposed to be present.

It does piss me off every time I attend a game at Mississippi Sttste, as their Jumbotron itakes up a whole end zone.

Agree! The sound, especially during pregame is about a second off from the lower field speakers. Very noticeable

Sound system won't change that. TS is large enough that sound takes about a second to go to the opposite side.

I think it was 2009 last time it was updated. It really is sad, and don’t think for a minute it don’t get used for recruiting in the entire game day experience!

Just traveling to other sec schools ours is out dated video quality and seems small.

To be fair, some teams scoreboards are bigger than their stadium.

In a football program as rich as LSU's, it's a tacky, bush league embarrassment.

I liked games better before the video board. Now get off my lawn!

But really if they replaced the entire setup with one screen they could split time between a bigger video board and dynamic ads of which they could sell more of because ads could be cycled through. The Pelicans and Saints follow such model.

It would be perfectly fine if it wasn’t for all of the ads taking up half the space on it.

I remember seeing photos of it being built and thinking how awesome it was going to be. Then I went to the first home game that season, and half of the board was taken up with static ads. It's been that way ever since. What a disappointment. LSU has found a way to slap ads on every possible surface of Tiger Stadium.

Game operations needs a complete overhaul. The sound system sucks, there is too much video board dedicated to ad space, the static ad signs in SEZ need to be replaced with a ribbon board.

Any new updates need to be focused on actual upgrades even if that means losing seating numbers. Would love to see the entire lower bowl have seats changed so it doesn’t look like a Frankenstein stadium.

Not sure if the Structure can hold a larger Screen , speakers, and Steel frame.

In theory, I would remove the last 5-6 rows in NEZ from sideline to sideline and find a way that doesn’t ruin the facade like they did on every other side.

Fact is that half of those 5 or 6 rows are season ticket holders from the scoreboard to the northeast wall. They're not going to take away that many income generating seats.

People can shite on this post because it’s Alabama, but they did probably the best set of renovations you could to upgrade a stadium and bring it to the forefront of college football. The stadium is symmetrical, uniform. They made sure to cover all of their bases are continuing to push to be at the forefront. Death Valley has so much dead space and is truly a shell of itself.
