Anybody know how long he's been announcing the games?

Listen to the clip about 10 seconds in. Sounds like him announcing for the Rams in 1990.

Dan Bourne' took over for Sid Crocker ,who also was the LSU PA for basketball like Bourne' sometime in the late 1980's.

The Rams' PA guy might be John Ramsey (not Jon Benet's dad). Ramsey did Dodgers PA,Southern Cal and Rams at the Coliseum and followed them to Anaheim. In several sports movies in the 70's and 80's that were filmed at the Coliseum,Rose Bowl or Forum he would generally protray the PA guy's voice. Whatever,it certainly isn't Bourne' in that clip.

Dan Borne is great.
We were in fla for cap one bowl few yrs ago and he came in the rest/bar we were in ..
the girl at the front had a microphone calling for people tabel was ready, I got the mic from her and gave it to Dan and he did his "Ladies and Gentleman" thing,,, there were a shite load of LSU fans there everybody heard it.
It was great.

I like it. My dad and I always joke around with that, especially when he says it and it is pouring down raining.

Dan Bourne is a great announcer,it makes the Tiger Stadium experience that much better.

Wow, they do sound just alike. I am sure the echo of the stadium's speakers have something to do with it, but damn, even the pacing of their sentences is the same.

Dan Borne is a god among stadium announcers. "Into the game for the Tigers, Number 3....Kevin Faulk."

i only go to 1 or 2 Saints games per year and i always wished the dome announcer was dan borne instead of Romig with his whiney, nasally voice.

Heard about this thread and had to post. I got to the Tiger Stadium media parking lot really early for a game (in 2007, I think) and saw Dan get out of his vehicle and walk to the stadium with an umbrella in his hand. I couldn't resist making a note out of it in the paper, pointing out that in spite of his "Chance of rain: Never!" tradition, he was still hedging his bet.

Danny Borne (before he added the ') is from Thibodaux and is a graduate of Harvard on the Bayou. In fact, he was the Student Body President there in the mid-60's. After a stint at WAFB (where the 'was added) Dan came to Nicholls to teach a class in TV. He talked me into taking his class, and as it was the spring semester of my senior year, I had it on coast, with the blessings of Dan. Then he left in mid-semester to become Senator Long's aid. Man, I thought that I was screwed, but Dan took care of me with the new prof. Danny, if you read this, you can probably figure out who this is, and, to add to the thread, he does a great job in TS, even when it does rain.

Not Tulane, Nicholls State. Old joke, but they even have printed tee shirts, etc. with that on them.
