Ticket prices for the Texas game...

Been watching Seatgeek for a while, trying to buy 2 tickets in the lower bowl, north end zone - a few now appearing for under $500 each (they were upwards of $700 each a few weeks back before the 2nd loss for LSU and Texas)...shall I keep gambling or is it time to buy?

I have thought about doing this, I'm coming from England with my son, and we have a good tailgate invite.
Anyone here have experience with waiting until right before kickoff?

The only issue I’ve had with waiting till kickoff is the cell service isn’t the best. The prices will definitely go down a lot the closer you get to kickoff though.

I’m not a ticket broker but I would think that prices would go back up after LSU beats Bama.

It's a game of hold your breath. There will be plenty of tickets available day of.
Or if you are on campus tailgaiting, just walk around and ask people. Someone will just be looking to get their money back.

This is my worry, if LSU beats Bama and Texas manages to win this week and next (Miss St/Mizzou), then it'll be hyped as an elimination game and I was worried tickets might go back up...either way I think the advice to hold until at least later this coming week is good.

I've purchased tickets online a couple of hours before kickoff. I've also scalped digital tickets outside the stadium.
With the large crowd, cell service can be iffy outside the stadium. If you're sitting at a tailgate with wifi you should be able to purchase tickets online on SeatGeek, StubHub, Gametime or any of the other ticket broker websites.
Prices usually drop the closer you get to gametime. However, if LSU beats Alabama next week, as another poster said, ticket prices for the game against Texas might increase. It'll be the final home game of the year against a top 10 opponent.

That's not always the case, my friend waited outside Raymond James before the Wisconsin game and tickets soared up once kickoff had started.
Ended up buying one on the street for face value and moving down where the ship sits
