I’m honestly surprised it’s taken this long for LSU fans to start throwing things on the field as a whole. LSU fans have always thrown things into the air, but it was always cups of some drink from the concession stand, and it’d just land on top of us, and was harmless. These younger generations are just stupid and reckless.

We did it in the 2001 Sugar Bowl. Saban got on the PA and told our fans to quit.

It was like 25 students. The same type of student in every college in America: shower once a week, play video games while skipping class, get drunk and game day and cause trouble.

I don’t think any message can get to them. And it doesn’t reflect the fan-base. It is what it is.

I really think if they’d show replays on the million(s) dollar video screens, that would help. The announcer in the stadium also not even speaking adds to it. I think throwing trash is dumb and stupid, but keeping folks in the dark for 3-10 minutes gets frustrating.

but goddamn what is the common fan supposed to do when the officiating is so bad lately?

Boo, scream and yell, cuss, whatever. Just don't throw trash on the field, that's scum bag stuff.

“Majority of the trash flying on the field did not come from the student section”

Curious as to where you saw it flying in from? I sit next to the student section and can confirm a lot was coming in from their sections..
Were other areas throwing a lot also?

I call BS! The touchdown they called good was at least a foot short. Even the announcers commented; "why is this taking so long, we saw it within 15 seconds". Obviously not a touchdown and not really close. His elbow touched the turf far short and the camera had it covered well. And there were numerous times Bama held, but no call. And whenever LSU had a big play, out came the flags. Not saying it would have made much difference, but the bias was very clear.

I agree, most of our games have been called pretty fairly this season, but this crew was very obviously biased. Every time we had a big play, flags flew, holding away from the play, etc

How about the Bama player who was clearly down at the one but BIRMINGHAM ruled it a touchdown?

The commentator said "What is taking so long with the review? He was obviously down before the score. This shouldn't be taking this long".

hat said, just as Kirby Smart accurately predicted, the impetus for the throwing shite onto the field now was the Texas v. Georgia game. Yes, the initial call was a bad call against Texas. But that was not a reviewable play. The fact they changed the call, WITHOUT review, only after the Texas fans created a delay by throwing shite onto the field was insane and created a precedent that is seeming being followed (though to a lesser extent) each week.

How is that the other morons in this thread don't understand this.

Throwing shite on the field has more to do with the ridiculousness that happened in the Texas-UGA game than it does what happened in this game. It's a reminder of how everyone else in the conference is tired of the Bama bias shite refs, and now we are goign to get the same shite from Texas as well? frick that.

It was the students. They have expanded to student and it’s ridiculous. Our seats are in section 214. We love our seats but they expanded the student section up above us. A bunch of drunk and puking kids. Maybe they need to look at alcohol sales to students

That was boiled over frustration caused by an egregiously overpaid incompetent head coach. I have no problem with it and I hope it happens again when Pavia and Vandy roll us

For years LSU fans have had a reputation for being some of the worst fans. This is nothing new

What good does a review do if they still make the wrong call? Alabama player was down short of goal that everyone saw except the official says no, it’s a TD. No it wasn’t a TD. Ridiculous waste of time.

Not true. The students throw drinks in the air when we score, but they don't usually throw stuff on the field.

By "we," I mean Ole Miss. We've done this a few times in the past. It's a bad look.

Yep, terrible look. Even worse considering that WAS a face mask.

Well LsU actually showed the replay on the video boards. It didn’t look like a face mask on their replay. Which let to the boos and the throwing.

Just as lsu showed the TD that was short. Someone even drew the yellow line on the board replay. lol.

I’m not saying it’s ok to throw but I think that had a lot to do with it. That and fans were frustrated AF w the game flow.
