Throw Poche' at TCU

So is lange.

I don't think I'd tinker much with the program right now.

Lange struck out 12 hitters Friday....12 in, what was it, 6 innings? Poche struck out 10 in both starts combined.

What Poche has done is incredible, but let's not act like Lange isn't a top of the line ace.

I would think what that poster was trying to say is that the ball is put in play a lot more against Poche. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that, and doesn't take away from anything he's done, doing, or will do.

Just, what I've been pointing out, if you want to win just one game then Lange is your better option. If he's striking out 45% of the people he's facing, then that means half of the outs come just needing the pitcher and catcher. With Poche, who pitches to contact, you may need pitcher, third baseman, second baseman, first baseman to get an out. The more people involved, the higher chance that the play goes bad.

We may play TCU with Lange pitching and he gets hamered. We may run into them with Poche pitching in Omaha and Poche shuts them down. Neither pitcher is a bad option against any team at all. Just given the option, I'd go Lange.

Just FYI....given the exact same stats, and games playing out exactly like they have up to this point...if Poche was the one throwing every Friday so far, I'd want him throwing this Friday also.

Why change now? You guys always make the right moves at the end of the season.

Let CPM decide this debate & the one about Beau vs Breaux...that's why he gets paid the big bucks...
