Nothing personal against Etienne
Etienne made it personal.
I realize he felt sleighted about Miles not heavily recruiting him... but Orgeron came in and almost immediately offered TE after he became interim HC, an offer that still came before Dabo's Clemson offer. Dabo was VERY late to the party.
And then Etienne still put on that Clemson hat when he made his college decision, even throwing in insult to LSU calling clemson "the real Death Valley".
I'd never go as far as to threaten his family or himself or any of that dumb shite, but TE is the one who started all the drama that he now acts like LSU created. Etienne can FO and STTD.

Helaire is the one we almost lost too.
Remember when LSU was all in on Cam Akers and then once Akers decided on FSU, Miles circled back around on Etienne which almost made Helaire decommit!

ETN made it personal. After signing with Clemson, when he said, "Now I will be playing in the real Death Valley. It was a low blow.
FROM ESPN as a reminder "A few months later, Miles was fired. Ed Orgeron got the LSU job on an interim basis, and one of his first calls was to Rusty Phelps, the Jennings High head coach. He wanted Etienne at LSU.
Etienne said he talked to Orgeron a few times before signing day in 2017, and if he's really being honest, it was a strong sales pitch. Stay home. Play in front of your family. Fulfill a dream.
But Clemson assistant coach Tony Elliott called Etienne from the field after the Tigers won the national championship in January 2017, and he wanted Etienne, too. The pair had a bond. Etienne's mind was made up. He was going to the real Death Valley -- at least, the one that felt right for him.
"Clemson was the place for me," Etienne said, "and it was the best decision I could've made."

I don't know if I'll take recommendations about what's good from a person who chooses to eat at Shoneys.
