For those that haven't been there in a while, what were you thoughts on Starkville? I graduated in 2001 and it has changed tremendously. I am always curious to hear other fans thoughts. Thanks for any feedback.

From a tv perspective, thats a beautiful stadium. I like the building complex off the endzone. really nice looking.

Scoreboard was nice!
Mullen is a good hire and will surpass Houston Nutt in state, unfortunately any success will get the higher echelon teams interested and he will move on to bigger and better things one day like Notre Dame if Weis doesn't make it.
Cohen will MSU baseball back to normal within two years - Ole Miss run is coming to an end in baseball.

Good: area surrounding the stadium and starkville is somewhat scenic. campus and stdium seems to be kept very clean.

Bad: stadium/experience is bush league. I walk by a completely open press box on my way to my seats. open ended stadiums are for high schools. the band had the worst accompaniment (flag team/batons) I have EVER seen at a university. drowning out both bands with constant piped music is the definition of bush league. starkville is missing a ton of amenities that any college town should have.

me and some friends were having this discussion. Starkville has come a long way since i last made the trip back in the 90's. Very nice campus, good gameday atmosphere around the stadium, love the big screen and the town has definitely livened up quite a bit. we had a great time!

I went on the bus trip so I didn't really see the campus, especially with the weather the way it was, but from what i saw, it was nice. Also, MSU fans were courteous for the most part ran into two total in all Mississippi that were a bit off the rocker. (One yelled at us in Jackson, MS and the other said something like Go Nick Saban after the game). Beautiful stadium, and y'all did y'allselves proud this weekend like someone said earlier. Good luck the rest of the way MSU.

first time visitor. campus was nice. stadium was nice and clean. fans were very good, had some great conversations. loved the big screen with the replays. concessions were pretty good.

now the bad. traffic in and out was a nightmare once you got to campus. why they don't turn the two-way streets into one way going in before the game and out after the game is beyond me. and lastly that piped in music so that you couldn't hear the band sucked big time.

For some reason, this year traffic has been horrible. It has been a complaint for the first two games by a lot of people.

I have been to Starkville 5 times my first was in 1999 (last time we lost). In 1999 the place was a shite hole.

This trip was tough because of the rain, but Starkville is much better now. Alot of new hotels and places to eat.

We ate at The Veranda after the game one of the best steaks I have ever eaten.

I hate that they moved the RV lot (but alot of schools do that now a days).

The Junction had a very "Grove" feeling.

Video board was the best thing about the stadium.

MSU should be accessed two 15 yard penalties at the beginning of each half for those damn cowbells. I'm sorry it is an artificial noise maker.

Last but not least MSU has great cheese. Next time you go you need to make it a point to stop and buy some from their dairy store.

Love the scoreboard. But the curved walk ways underneath it, leading to the field look weird.

The cheese is great, but the Chocolate milk is the best thing that they make at the dairy
