It’s hard to pick. Clemson will likely be a better version of last season. They return everybody. We don’t know what the offensive line’s going to do and there’s so many new faces on the defensive side of the ball. There’s really no way to know. There’s been no time to gel. I do know that I won’t be counting them out regardless of the outcome of this game.(Unless they get absolutely dogwalked like they don’t even belong on the same field)

I think we lose the opener and win the national title

I think we lose the first snd last game of the season at OU but get into the playoffs and win it all

Optimistic how else should I feel being I have no say in the outcome. Hopefully LSU wins & tards like you with your unoriginal thoughts will go away for a couple days.

LSU is going to win this game by more than 7.

The team appears to have a great demeanor about them right now and made it through camp virtually unscathed.

While I would not dare make comparisons to what the 2019 put on the field vs this one the demeanor of players in press conferences has reminded me of how that team spoke during media days and up to season start. They sound confident and ready to show what they can do. These are guys that have played a lot of football against the best and seem like they simply know they are gonna be the best players on the field when they walk out.

Remember when Will Campbell was talking about his gummy bears and how they were going to dominate? BK is known for his preseason hype and his players hype. This guy gets paid 10 million a year, he needs to put up or shut up

I know, I know you have to beat the best to be the best but it is a fact that teams drastically improve from their 1st to 2nd games. Just not a fan of these really tough openers.

I hope the play calling is better than last season. Honestly don’t really know what to expect

I'm concerned about our 0-line like most here - I think eventually they will get there but early on it may be a challenge.

But I'm really excited about every other facet of our team, I think we're pretty stacked everywhere and I'm really excited to see our defense and what we can do on that side of the ball now that we have the talent we should always expect here on D.

The fact this board is somewhat pessimistic about this game is the reason why I think we will win

I’m optimistic. I think we have the better team. They have the home field advantage and more roster continuity. I think that our defensive front seven is a bad matchup for Clemson, especially the speed and quickness of Whit and Perkins. I think the defense will stymie them a lot and cause turnovers. This will give the offense time to get it together.

man I projected Clemson to win but the more I dig into the defense as a whole and the run defense numbers the better I feel.

its going to be tough. If we can hit a shot or two over the top, I think that will go a long ways to helping get them out the box and back off some and we can run on them. Hoping to beat that arse like UGA did last year

Biggest opening game since the '11 season. I think this Clemson team is similar to that Oregon team but I think Clemson is a little better. I am excited to see how our lines play in this game. I just have a feeling that our defensive line is going to be very dominant and Clemson is going to struggle with them.

However, I think our offensive line is going to struggle with Clemson's defensive line. With Caden being as dynamic as he is he might be able to still hit a few big runs that opens up our passing game enough to keep their pass rush at bay.

I really wish I shared y’alls optimism. The o line scares me but what more scares me is truly how bad our defense was against running qb’s and the run game in general. It wasn’t just talen’t it was playcalling also, Milroe and Sellers made us looks like we didn’t belong in the SEC

Cautiously optimistic.
I think we win in a special teams play.

Wait and see mode. Seen us lay too many season opening eggs recently to feel otherwise.

It takes players that want to tackle for a defense to stop the run. New coordinator can't go make those tackles for them. We have to shed tackles. Get those few extra yards each play
