Hmm sounds familiar. Good intermediate accuracy but no deep arm, but has all the intangibles of a winner. Can’t quite wrap my head around who that sounds like

Of course, you did because you are a sore loser and a crybaby.

Wow, your disdain and contempt for Ed O runs so deep that you even viciously attack his personal assistant? Sucks to be you. No wonder you are so obsessed with that gay head coach Tom Herman. Did he kiss you on the lips too?

Ponamsky is a fricking worthless douche anyone supporting him has something to lose financially close to O or access. He should've have his position at all he's a Louisiana con man.

I am just looking for the best from whoever is on the field. I am not going to take much stock in a spring game which is just a practice in reality.

You would not think they would say it is a close competition if one was that much better than the other so I am sure we will be fine.

The kid appears to be a competitor and has the will to win, sometimes that is more important that some of the other stuff. Can not wait till the first kick of.

Not to mention the coaching staff also told Jack Bech before he even graduated to go workout and gel with Max Johnson when he arrived on LSU's campus. He didn't say to go work out with Myles Brennan because first of all, Myles doesn't workout with players, but most of all because he had already lost the QB derby to Max.
Wait...... you have repeated on here over and over again that Myles couldn't/wouldn't transfer from LSU because it was too late for him to learn a new offense, yet last spring they're already telling incoming freshmen that Max is going to be the starting QB? So were they telling the freshmen and the entire team to keep it a secret from Myles? Or are you saying that Myles knew way back in the spring and that in April it was too late for him to transfer?

Explain that one to me genius.

Well saying Myles is a Bama beater (not you, specifically) based on how he played against an awful Mizzou defense is also created from bias, not objectivity. And saying Max’s skill set more resembles that of tGOAT Joe Burrow than Myles’ IS an objective take. Max would have been the starter anyway. Can’t prove it. But I believe it.

Myles' Stats 79 131 60.3 1,112

Max's Stats 88 150 58.7 1,069

Myles Brennan's stats as a fifth year senior were only slightly marginally better relative to a brand new true freshmen QB fresh out of high school and still very wet behind the ears who didn't have nearly as many reps as other QBs to transition from high school football to SEC football, courtesy of the Covid Pandemic. As Myles passing completion rate was only slightly 1.6 percent marginally better relative to Max and Myles' total yards passing in three games was again only marginally 43 yards more relative to Max's total yards in only two games.

Not to mention that Myles numbers were generated against a Mizzou team that had half its defense absent due to Covid protocols and a Vanderbilt team who is the worse team in the SEC. On top of that, Myles also had the benefit of both Terrace Marshall and Arik Gilbert to throw the ball to and Max didn't.

Meanwhile, when we look at the Spring Game it is quite evident that Max had already passed up Myles significantly. As Max completed 65 percent of his passes for 180 yards and 2 touchdowns. Relative to Myles only completing 60 percent of his passes for only 116 yards and only 1 touchdown.

Very apparently, you are more than just a little lost in space my man.

THIS---The one thing that was apparent to me was Myles lack of being able to check down quickly and decisively. Combine this with is immobility and he was never going to beat good SEC defenses. Max does not throw as good as Myles but he can throw pretty well and he seemed to process the game quicker and is much more of a threat with his legs.

If Myles was a Sophomore it would be easier to give him time but at this point he should have looked like a Pro running the offense that was not the case.

Some of your comments have merit. Too bad you are not able to be in a discussion without calling people drug addicts and trying to belittle them. Alabama fans would welcome you to their site. Please go there.

Good effort with this thread, but it inevitably devolved into another Max vs. Myles shitshow.

To everyone else: Max is the starter. This is fact. You can love Myles all you want, but he's not stepping on the field for awhile at least. Not a damn thing you can do about it.

Support Max, or GTFO.

That has to be who Purple Tiger King is. Being completely one sided, getting so defensive, calling everyone loons and the overuse of 'moreover.'

I see a lot of good stuff from that 4 minute clip.

Goes through his reads, knows how to work the pocket, accurate on his short and mid range throws, knows when to tuck and run.

His deep ball is not great, and will put a lot on his receivers to go up and make a grab. He throws off his back foot as well. I don't think I saw him go through all of his reads and check down once. Seems like if the first 2 reads aren't there, he makes a decision between tucking and looking for 3. If 3 isn't there he's already sacked or is scrambling.

I think we are in for a 9-3 season.

I really like max but it showed in that film that guys weren't getting open.

I think a player like malik nabers is going to be great for him. He has great hands and is physical.

Nabers will go up and get the ball. Same thing with bech.

Kole Taylor let a ball go right through his hands.

Just can't wait to see the 5 freshmen receivers step up cause they are needed.

If we use TDP as the main guy hes rushing for 1200. Buut the mfer can really contribute to the passing game. Him and Emery are very unreliable there. IF either has taken the next step and can be relied upon for 3 down more often theyll get 1200 ish.
Max I think will be fine. I know it can be looked at as a cop out buuuut, the dude is just better in gametime. You cant teach shiet like that.

Honestly I'm really worried about his accuracy and I feel like we may be seriously restricted passing downfield. (downvote away)

I wish Brennan didn't break his goddamn arm.

I'm honestly stunned at how many people think Max ran away with this job. His accuracy is way too suspect to be a starting QB. We are BEYOND fricked.

How? Have you seen the guy throw? He doesn't have it. At least Brennan could hit open receivers.

If they were going to lie about what happened don’t you think they would have come up with a better story than he’s a clumsy frick?

If you are gonna concoct a story, Why not say he broke it fighting a kidnapper trying to steal a baby? At least he’s a hero in that story.
