Just went and watched the snaps that Max took in the spring game this year. Started off really slow, lots of overthrows, and he had barely any time to throw in the beginning (might've been with the 2nd string OL). towards the end of the video he had some great throws, specifically to the right side of the field.

I really hope he can fix the accuracy issues, and the OL can give him more time to make an accurate throw.

Let me know your thoughts after watching the film

Honestly I'm really worried about his accuracy and I feel like we may be seriously restricted passing downfield. (downvote away)

I wish Brennan didn't break his goddamn arm.

I agree. I just can't buy the story that he fell down bc his flop got stuck on a pier...

If we can't pass deep, and only can complete 8-10 yard passes, then I really hope TDP or emery can finally run the fkn ball

Wouldn't have helped Max with his downfield passes, Myles wasn't starting

Should be “Mad Max” but I digress.

Same. Max has great touch but Myles of Mizzou gets LSU to beat Bama. I'm not sure that Max can.

Should have worn Crocs instead. Gravity is undefeated, especially when it comes to cold beer.

This is facts. All I can say is thank god he can run because he will struggle passing the ball. He simply just doesn't have the arm talent that Myles has

I think Max’s intangibles are the most exciting thing about him. He might have not been the most efficient, but he got the job done last year. He has the right mindset, the physical tools, and an unlimited amount of resources to learn from. I think his ceiling is extremely high. Can’t wait to see the jump he makes this year.

I thought his accuracy to the right side of the field, even 20+ yards was great. He had some beautiful passes to that side. However, his left side I noticed that the majority of passes (except for the Jontre TD and Boutte TD) almost looked like he was throwing it away, when he had receivers that could've caught the ball.

I think fall camp will help him fix this, but still pretty nerve racking 30 days out from the first game

Hard to believe that you think that Max is better than Myles. Myles threw for over 1100 yards, 11 TDs and 3 interceptions in only 3 games. Not a lot of QBs threw for an average of 370 yards per game last year including Max.

I hate being the Spring game doesn't matter guy, but it just kinda doesn't. His plays during the season have 10000% more weight for me, and I think he looked really fricking good for a true freshmen with no offseason missing his top 2 pass catchers and top 2 RBs

2019 Spring Game:
*Myles Brennan — 16-of-24, 212 yards

*Joe Burrow — 15-of-25, 159 yards, 1 touchdown, 1 interception

In other words ...dont put to much thought into the results of a glorified scrimmage.

This. He just doesn’t have it thus far. Not sure how much can be changed in 30 days. He definitely doesn’t have deep arm talent

I wasn't really focused on play calls and what not, since most of it is vanilla. I was more focused on watching his accuracy in and out of the pocket, as well as his ability to make throws under pressure, which worries me.

I have full faith in Max. I wanted him as starter when Myles wasn't injured. Let's hope we can give him longer than 3 seconds in the pocket, and I think his accuracy will be fine.

What are you talking about? Max was 11 & 17 for 180 yards and 2 touchdowns. Indeed, he hit 65 percent of his passes.

While Brennan, on the other hand, was 12 of 20 for 116 yards with only 1 touchdown. As Myles only hit 60 percent of his passes in that same game.

What's wrong with a 65 percent completion pass ratio, especially when his competition threw for only a 60 percent pass completion ratio and threw 50 percent less touchdowns?

I may be wrong, but isn't this a feel thing? I'd think this is gained by playing more with his WRs

Really? Why? As Max was already the better passer. Just look at the Spring Game. Max hit on 65 percent of his passes and threw two touchdowns. While Myles hit on only 60 percent of his passes and threw for only one touchdown.

Yeah, against the worst defense in the country. Maybe our sights should be raised a bit. Looking good for a freshman won't win too many games in the SEC>
