I live in MS. All of the Ole Miss fans are ecstatic with the hire.

That should tell you all that you need to know.

Most Tennessee fans I talk to, and UGA ones here in Nashville, wonder why we fired Miles. I get it from a UT perspective, his level of sustained non-suckness was enviable to them. And all agree that we hired a guy who is basically no different, if not worse. Oh well.

I live in Tenn. and every time lsu is brought up, I'm asked why we hired Ed Orgeron.

s that a fact?

be honest pawpaw.

Since the turn of the century we have been one of the 5 best programs in cfb.
From 2000-2015 we won 2 national titles, played in 3 national titles, won 4 sec titles,5 sec west titles, 7 top 10 finishes,5 top 5 finishes AND WE HIRED A CAREER DLINE COACH THAT WASNT EVEN GETTING COORDINATOR JOB.

No one outside of O's family,Alleva, and O lovers have any idea why he was hired.

That’s the right answer, and if LSU had replaced Miles with a young up-and-coming coach like Frost or an established championship winning coach, it would have made sense.

USC love the SOB. They wanted him as the head coach.

Obviously they didn't since he isn't coaching there.

Jesus jumped up and down.

By the way, it's Haden, not Hayden.

even if they had replaced Miles with someone like miles pre lsu.

at no point should one of the most consistently good programs hire an old dline coach that had the worst tenure ever at program full of shite tenures. it's makes zero sense.

this just means Pat HADEN is smarter than all those other people you mentioned. ed orgeron is a bad head coach and his entire head coaching career proves it.

ed orgeron hasn't proven he can get a lead against bama for a single second let alone win titles.

ed orgeron hasn't proven he can win more than 2 conf games on a consistent basis let alone win titles.

Yeah, Big Ten fans will ask me why Les was fired and I tell them the same. I actually don't hear many comments about Orgeron.

Wish Smylie's game would come back around; because it has dropped off a lot in the past year.

We actually walked with Smylie’s crew on Thursday. It was his parents, a couple of his friends and his fiancé. Great time.

I know quite a few Pac12 fans and most of them say LSU was crazy to fire Miles.

The only thing that is said when o's name is brought up (after the laughter dies down) is at least he's enthusiastic.

Same here. And that the real problem was the geniuses in charge had no real plan or enough chest to rustle up a good hire when it finally happened.

yep. even successful tenures run their course. it was time for an infusion of new blood at lsu. no one thought the ad could herp derp his way into hiring the most unqualified coaches in BIG 6 HISTORY.

Most players love their coach and think he's the man for the job. Remember when LSU carried Miles off the field on their shoulders?

Everyone I know outside of Louisiana tells me they can’t believe we actually hired him and wonder what the AD was thinking. They say it’s sad because of what we were and what we could be with competent leadership.
