I think it's Houston next year and Frisco the year after.

Missed the point. Mid-week games need an upgrade like Louisiana Tech and Southern Miss. Cannot get excited about a given win vs real competition. Piss off.

I didn't miss shite. You apparently can't make your point without lying. Because you're constantly a bitch.

We play in by far the toughest conference in the country. Every game doesnt need to be against the hardest competition.
Not about RPI. The SEC schedule will take of that. It's about replacing useless games with meaningful games.
As noted, it's not a major schedule overhaul. We already play many of those teams anyway.
Project brought up some insightful approaches. And many of our peers already play against better than SWAC competition, e.g., UF-FSU.
No one has offered a single reason why this idea won't fly.

Our schedule has just as many SWAC teams as Florida's.
It also doesn't hurt that Gainesville and Tallahassee are a quick drive to and from.

Yeah, everyone in the SEC plays SWAC teams. We should never have more than a couple games a season and absolutely never play one from outside of the state.
I really liked adding UCA to the schedule. It adds the Atlantic Sun Conference.

@TigerCub Is LSU going to Frisco next year?
Year after. In 2025

UF NC SOS- 116
UF NC RPI- 37
LSU NC SOS- 61
LCU NC RPI- 2
We currently are right in the middle of the SEC in terms of non-conference SOS. So we are actually right in line with our peers.

Most of the “better” small baseball schools don’t want to come to a highly ranked program to play a game in the middle of the week. It can easily mess up their pitching rotations and momentum for their conference games which is way more important to them.

LSU needs to play USM at MGM Park in Biloxi.

I thought we were supposed to play Florida State there.

This game has a lot of value in its own way.
Tonight Christian Little is getting a chance to rebuild his confidence after getting shelled twice in a row. Much better to do that against Grambling than if we were playing Houston.
Additionally, we'll get some at bats for a bunch of guys who don't play much but who are really good players that we're an injury or two away from needing to play at a high level. The more field time they can get before they're needed, the better.
Playing 30 games against SEC teams means we are in no need of tougher non-conference games than we already have. Hell, we've now got a couple of our non-conference opponents in the Top 25, and a pair of teams we rin-ruled are on 9-game win streaks coming our of last weekend.

History and geography mostly.
Under that theory, UNO should be on your regular rotation. There are long-standing connections between the 2 programs (both have been coached by graduates of the other). It's close geographically. It doesn't hurt to play more games in the New Orleans area for recruiting purposes. And, UNO was good before LSU was good.

It’s not jay’s fault that grambling sucks at baseball.
