I'm curious. You seem to think everyone is so stupid on the Rant. Why continue to read and post here?
The Rant is the Three Stooges of LSU sports.
You have to admit that there is some comedy here.
Everybody takes themselves so seriously while they are actually an electronic pie in the face.

Some of you must be either too young to remember the idiot who was Joe Dean or you are oblivious to reality.
Alleva is far from the worst AD LSU has ever had. Alleva seems to have grown into the LSU job and has gotten better than he was 3-4 years ago.
Anyone who can't give Alleva credit for the Will Wade hire is simply blind from hate or something. Alleva seems to have hit a home run with that hire and the hiring of Coach O and stabilizing the LSU staff by paying them as the #1 highest paid staff in the USA seems to be working as well.
He is doing his job.

Absolutely and I have to admit I have been in that group plenty of times before. It's not something I'm proud of and trying to do better. As I said, I was really was genuinely curious what your answer to that question would be. Carry on, sir.

LOL, anybody can make an athletic department profitable by raping the fans out of money at every turn.
If you feel that you are being taken advantage of, why not just quit?

All this talk about balancing checkbooks is way outdated. Who the hell actually uses checks anymore. I own my own business and employ 70 people and don’t uses checks anymore. Paperless is just smart business
I'm supposing that you don't budget, track cash flow organize and prioritize expenses and audit your books. Or is it that you are way too smart for that stuff? You just spend money (electronically of course) hoping that there are funds (electronic of course) to cover that expenditure?
Nice try.

Worst AD was the sneaker guy we had who hired Curley. Cheap salary and a cheap performance. Tigers did beat Bama during his tenure back in '93 but lost that same season to Tulane! Go figure. Seems like that was back in the "good old boys days" when we had an excellent chance at Spurrier but blew it because of their influence and in-fighting.

CLM was here and is a HoF coach.
CWW wasn’t his hire from all accounts. He hired Trent Johnson, CJJ and Nikki Fargo’s. Cost the university MILLIONS.
Miles debacle.
Jury isn’t close to being final with Orgeron.

After a solid season in Football, good basketball and baseball teams as well, do you guys still look at Alleva as a liability?
Nothing is going to change the fact that his search for Miles' replacement was botched.

Well the game day atmosphere is pretty much ruined for every major sport. Commercialized to shite and over price... overall opinion is that he’s a greedy a-hole
This says it all.

Did he botch the coaching search or intentionally low ball two coaches that have already achieved more than O relatively speaking?
Maybe he had O in mind the whole time.
Maybe that's where O learned his Canada to Ensminger shuffle.

He still hasn't apologized to Duke Lacrosse.
This. I am not a fan of what Alleva has done here but I real issue with him is his moral character. He should be raped to death with a rusty saw blade for what he did to the Lacrosse players with no evidence.

The only difference between those two scenarios is that one is botched and the other is intentionally botched. Either way the coaching search was a fiasco.

I'll concede that he did his job as asked, when it came to O.
We are getting basically the same production on the field, with a bit less fan impatience, for less cost. Sure, there was a period where Miles' buyout overlaid with O's salary... that was going to be the case regardless of who was hired.
It's the opposite of A&M's reasoning; they paid a ton of cash to get a guy to win 'more often'. We spent less cash to get a guy to 'win as often'.

The sooner he goes, the better it will be for LSU,

LSU fans do not like anyone associated with our university. Who cares if we have too 6 football team, top 25 basketball team (for the first time in a long time), #3 in gymnastics and preseason #1 in baseball. None of that matters Alleva has to go.
We've had this before, swap gymnastics with some other sport and we were winning titles and going to final 4s with both basketball teams.
So instead of winning like we were already doing. We have a greedy a-hole that doesn't give a shite about the fans in general.

Alleva is an incompetent boob and any success is despite him rather than because of him.
