Yeah...that dropped pop up was pretty ridiculous. Hit him right in the glove. A little league SS doesn't drop that. He has the "yips" for some reason. But I agree...you don't continue to play him and hurt your team. He needs a timeout to get his mind right...

If your being cute, Andy was lights out at SS. A 5'10 170 MLB/Yankee didn't make it because of HR's.

He needs to sit. Plain and simple. He is a liability in the field. Hell high school players have better defensive skills than him. I was hoping he would fix this, but it’s evident he can’t.

Is this the equivalent of firing him? I mean you said Johnson is the problem.

So let's fire the coach that's been there for less than a year, because you're angry, and hire a new one.

Some of our fans..... geez.

I'm not saying there aren't things that need to be fixed but at this point, this is what you have.

I’m so tired of the for who conversation. That’s never the case ever and the guys who can’t hit can field. Pretty sure are backups can make errors and not hit the ball. They won’t miss routine fly balls for sure.

The people that thought that last year's issues were going to be resolved by Johnson in less than 1 year are emotional babies still living in the 90s. He's done a great job with this roster considering the limitations. The addition of Berry is great but he's just one person. This group of players has some deep seeded limitations that the coaching staff has worked through well.

Bianco can hit, won’t boot a routine play, and appears to be a team leader. What’s his injury status?

I was reluctant earlier because he was hitting a little. Currently his average is dropping like a popped balloon. It’s time to pull him. Even though Bianco hasn’t hit except for last years super it’s time to let him play. He can’t do any worse.

Bianco can hit? The one that is hitting .059? Now I agree he probably can make the routine play at SS which I will take at this point.

He is undoubtedly the worst position player to get significant playing time at LSU in the last decade.

Which would be masked with more hustle.

No way anyone on our team would have made it to 2nd on a dropped pop up by the SS. Only our opponents do that.

Hell, Thompson stood in the box and watch the 3rd baseman field his grounder Friday night. I DGAF about he's our best option. Bench his arse and wake this team up.

He hit .250 with 7 home runs last year so one of the two is an anomaly.

Leto at short. That’s my choice.

Oof. You probably wanted Deichmann at short too.

He played there in high school, and was good, but outgrew the position - he got thicker and choppier as he got older. He'll be a corner infielder/outfielder or DH for the rest of his career.

To Project's point, Deichmann was also a good SS in high school. Very good comp to Leto as far as outgrowing the position.
