This. They’ll make Omaha but the bats are too inconsistent away from home to envision making much noise out there.

Yes I’m sure the players were giving 100% effort playing 2 games in 24 hours knowing the second one was absolutely meaningless, no way we make a postseason run with arguably the best pitching staff in the nation

They just don’t have the bats to do it. Which is a shame because pitching is there.

what is maddening is they have hit before so they are capable. They just aren't getting it done for some reason.

We will get out of regional. Usually too big a talent disparity and at home.

SR where there is usually strong pitching, different story.

I think Arkansas is probably the most complete team. I realize we won the series against them, but I still think they have the offense and pitching. I also think they'll choke and someone else will emerge though

For the record, I think we'll make it to Omaha this year.

Vandy looks good too.

I think we make it to Omaha with very little luck. After that, I'd say we probably go 0-2. You're not gonna beat anyone scoring 3 runs in two games like we just did.

Offense has to get better against good teams, or we're in trouble.

Name one team that is consistent? That’s baseball.

I really hope they do, and the offense flips a switch

They are a different offensive team at home. They scored 22 in 3 games against Arkansas, 21 against Tennessee, 19 against Alabama, and 27 and 29 against Miss St and Missouri.

Jay Johnson signaled his lack of concern for this game throwing Eyanson yesterday. It’s not much surprise the team responded in kind.

People said lsu didn’t have the pitching in 2023 to win it all

Here's the difference.

Charles Schwab is a pitcher friendly Park.

In the 2023 CWS, 6 runs would have won every game. That's a place that a struggling pitching staff can get redemption, but struggling bats rarely turn around there.

I’m very proud of our pitching staff the last month and a half. One of the better ones in the country.

We can only win a championship if Curriel, Jones, and Daniel figure it out together. Specifically Jones.

Pitching and infield defense is as good as we’ve had in a long time. 2023 pitching was fantastic, but this team has more depth.

I’m rooting hard for them, but I’ll be VERY surprised if they make it to Omaha this year…

I agree with you, but to play devils advocate they had the same amount of hits against the team that we just did. They have holes as well.
