Not to be that guy, and I’m sure your sources have some insight. But you said you’re a journalist, right? Do you think it’s possible they’re feeding you selective information to keep the real story quiet? And not to spook you, but they could very well see the “insiders” post on this board and want to keep them in the dark. I’m sure at least a couple of them have seen your posts, everyone looks at TD.
I ask for two reasons:
—I spoke with someone close to the program. A very, very dear family friend and a person high enough that they’ve been mentioned on this board multiple times, and they said nothing like that is happening with Saban, at least as a HC.
Plus it would be extremely stupid for Saban to coach LSU. No upside when he has absolutely nothing to prove and is currently filming commercials and getting paid to talk football every Saturday. And as for AD… LOL. He’d be an idiot to be AD. Maybe commissioner, but you guys saying AD make me laugh.
—There’s also no real incentive for Kiffin to come here. We talk about LSU “resources”… with all the buyouts, Ole Miss has a built in 8 figure head advantage over LSU and Ole Miss could very well win a playoff game this year. How much higher do you think LSU is going to go? We’ve been irrelevant for 6 straight seasons and our “anyone can win here” narrative is gone.
Recruiting hasn’t been stellar either, barely top 10, and NIL plays a big part in that—and we’re forking over 8 figures a year for coaches to merely exist. “Resources” would get us top 5 but we’re not even close.
But maybe I’m wrong. Maybe my source is being kept in the dark as well. I doubt it, but who knows.

I was very very close friends with the Shinn family, I knew about trades and Hornets FA signings before they happened. I knew who was getting fired.

He never said he was a journalist. This is what he said:
I have connections both on the LSU staff and at the national reporting level. I pass along tidbits every now and then.
