If the national media would promote it more it would draw bigger audiences. It's all about promotion and marketing, always has been always will be. People just fool themselves into thinking it's viewer driven.

Let me clarify. There was a 1.5 rating as opposed to the normal 1.3 rating.

Do you think a 1.5 rating is impressive?

Seriously?

I think "Build a Better Burger" on the Food Network had as many people tune in.

So what if it's not a "major" sport around the country?

This is an LSU board, in case you haven't noticed. It's a "major" sport to us. That's all that counts.

"I crow about the football team. What's your point? "

The accomplishments of the football team are not your own. All I see is someone who denigrates the accomplishment of others which indicates a person of little worth. You will not find a truly accomplished person with your level of negativity.

Anyone can see that you are only here to spread negativity through the only outlet availble to you as I doubt anyone in the real world gives you the time of day. I would suggest concentrating on the positive as you will see positive results from that action in your own life.

This is pathetic and if you do not see it as such then you may be beyond help.

IMO, the ratings of a cable sports network should not be compared to the ratings of a major network. To prove your point (which I probably agree with), you should post the ratings of other college sports on a Tuesday night on ESPN.

It also had huge ratings in New Orleans and Austin. The national rating is very common on cable where you have hundreds of channels.

"The accomplishments of the football team are not your own."

And the accomplishments of the baseball team are your own?

The TV ratings nationally might be higher for the CWS if the MLB games going on at the same time weren't so compelling. There have been some great interleague matchups being played at the same time when the casual baseball fan across the country might tune in to see the CWS instead of the interesting MLB matchups.

That's my theory.

Oh, I usually don't pay attention to him. He's one of those guys? Useless even arguing then.

Did I ever claim them as mine? You are too dense and negative to for me to bother discussing this further. Know this, your negativity hurts nobody but yourself and your obvious cries for attention on this message board is pathetic.

Um, no. College baseball is not a major sport like college basketball or college football.

Baseball isn't even CLOSE to either one.

I hate interleague baseball. To me it, it demeans the All-Star Game & World Series. It waters down the competition between the AL & NL. I'm just old school, I guess. Looks like it's here to stay regardless of how I view it.

Because you can't. The numbers prove my point. End of discussion.

No one on here said it was. But the fact that it isn't won't diminish our baseball team's accomplishments this year.
