I forgot about the game when Derrick Dillon caught the ball with his face mask. Pivotal play.

I played a 9-hole match against John Vaughn in an intra-club two-man event. We won 1 up, and I swear he was 1 for 6 in birdie putts.

That is the only time before or after that game that I have ever heard of a team being flagged well before the game ever even started. I didn't even know it was possible. A chilly December night game in Tiger Stadium to decide who would go to Atlanta for the SEC Championship - that was a true one-of-a-kind game and one awesome buildup to the game with a great atmosphere.

Honest to God I still have no idea how Byrd saw that football come in. I went crazier than any LSU play minus the Morris HR to win the college series.
If I could bottle up the 2007 college football season and sell it I could do some damage I bet. Greatest ever and not just because we won it but it helps.

You can hear Ron Franklin's voice just from looking at that picture.

I can't think of this rivalry without thinking about Fournette trucking the entire back 7 of the Auburn defense

Leonard put the Superman cape on for that game. He was unstoppable.

My dad was parked right behind it on Nicholson extension as it was burning. He said the van owner was sobbing as he watched it burn.

My Jr year at LSU. Electric atmosphere from the start!! rushing the field, smoking cigars thanks to Tommy Tuberville. That was a great game!

Top 10 most memorable LSU v AU games

"The game was originally scheduled for Sept. 15 but was moved after the Sept.11 terrorist attacks.

Auburn only added more tension to the cigar episode. During the pregame warm-ups, Auburn players stomped on LSU's midfield logo, resulting in a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty. Kicking off from the 50-yard line, LSU recovered the onside kick at the Auburn 36 and scored a touchdown six plays later.

Also, the Auburn special teams began their post-halftime warm-ups while the LSU Marching Band was still performing its halftime routine. Kicker Damon Duval got into a squabble with two band members. Later, Tuberville sent a letter of apology to band leader Frank Wickes for Duval's behavior."

This is my favorite Auburn game memory. So many factors at play and so many memorable events. That was a really fun season.

One of my favorite Auburn/ LSU games was that all white game. Jarvis Landry made Auburn quit on kickoff coverage, with some great hits, LSU rolled the rest of the way.

The more I think of it the Auburn/LSU series has some great games, I hope we continue to play them after new conference alignment
