Clueless as usual. None of our players had more than 25 minutes tonight. Who gives a shite

Thank you. CKM has done a remarkable job getting everyone minutes and rotating thru her bench. This year the drop off Isn’t nearly as bad as it’s been in the past where you couldn’t trust the next 5, save for Poa.

I believe the ladies won’t get overextended and gassed out as much this season due to this.

Mmgrath has a weird vendetta but you brought facts.

Yeah, a reporter brought up the balance in the press conference, noting the "bench" outscored the "starters" 59 to 58. The depth is real.

While Kim has stated many times that the top 8 will get the majority of minutes come SEC play, I think she is developing enough confidence in all 12. My guess, Bourrage & Yarnevich will likely get the least amount of action over the course of the season, but even they have flashed ability for situational playing time.

Looking at the "bench", are we really calling Fulwiley a bench player? That seems insane. I can't imagine she doesn't start at some point. She sure made the case over Jada last night.
The top 8 are obviously
Mikayla
Flaujae
Fulwiley
Zakiyah (she already looks like an Aneesah clone with better hops, but without the polished offensive game)
Koval (already the best center we have had under Kim)
Jada
Joyner
Gilbert

Then
Bella
Knox
Bourrage
are next up, you essentially don't really seem to miss a beat when these three come in. You just don't have any knowledge of how they will react to a visitors crowd in a big SEC game. I don't think its a stretch to say all are already better than what you got with Poa, Sheppard or Day-Wilson last year. They all shoot well, play good defense and are very active/aggressive. Bella seems like a kid who could come in and have a 5-6 threepointer game off the bench kinda like Carson but with a more rounded game and much better Defense.

With
Yarnevich looking like the only one slightly out of her league as a freshman. But she has size and plays under control. She is already better than Del Rosario. But you don't need her to be amazing. just be physical, block out on defense and if you get open under the goal with a feed from a guard, just make a layup (all the things ADR seemed to struggle with), which she seems able to all already do in abundance.

Our ball handling is significantly improved. (thank jesus I don't have to watch poa or SDW try to bring the ball up against pressure anymore)
Our three point shooting is signficantly improved.
our perimeter defense is vastly better than last year.
We seem about the same when it comes to rebounding.

I think we legit go 11 deep without missing practically anything. Hell last night the starters where kind of struggling and the second string is the group that sparked the blowout. We are already more active overall from a pacing standpoint as well.

This team is legit fun to watch.

I’d swap that around . Especially Bella , pure shooter .

Teams will have to man up and try to keep their legs with this rotation. Bella (and others) will absolutely destroy a zone D.

Seems like Kim is trying to give Yarnevich playing time in hopes she can give LSU another big body under the goal. A couple of minutes of playing time without hurting the team could be a huge benefit in a game or two this year. I am sure LSU will play against some teams stacked with big girls on the inside and will need strength and power.

Her size gives her opportunities for development in the early games.

Buuuttttt I could be wrong!

Completely agree. This team seems to have a lot of chemistry for this early in the season. Lots of assists and passing the ball around. Egos checked at the door and just get the ball to the person in the best position to score. Love these freshman. I think Knox is a baller and could develop into something really special. Not to knock Bella and others. Just tons of talent on this team.

Indeed. It seems giving them bulletin board material will light a fire under them to have the want to bring the pain to the other team.

So true, but I'm actually ok with Lay technically coming off the bench. It staggers out the superstars (Flaujae, Mikaylah & Fulwiley) to where there is always a lethal threat on the court at all times. Just so long as Lay gets starter minutes (25-30 mins) & touches, which obviously would mean some overlap time with both groups.

If those 3 are always playing & resting at the same time, while it's a dominating must-see-tv trio when on the court, somebody will always lose touches and the bench would be less productive, less fearsome. The question really is, is Lay ok with disguised-starter-off-the-bench role, and the pride-hit that comes with the nation assuming she couldn't beat out Jada Richard?
