I'm a homer and even I don't believe this.

Not trying to be nega here, but you picked the one year LSU didn't frick up an lose to a less talented team, while ignoring pretty much everything other year in which LSU has.

Dukke, I was at that game. LSU beat the living shite out of Bama. Bama was lucky to be semi-close. With two minutes left the Bama fans were leaving!

Bama never had the ball - not once - in the last two quarters with a chance to tie or take the lead. THAT's an arse whipping!

I made your point?

You said an LSU staff that has never coached together will in FACT screw up a game.....FACTS you said. This must be an opinion as this staff has never lost a game it was supposed to win. Ever.

I said years ago that O’s typical pattern will be to have seasons where we fall short of success. The heat gets on him. We turn it around and win enough to relieve the heat. Sometimes just enough. Then the cycle continues. I mean after 5 wins last season- 8-10 will come off as great improvement. The main question to answer will be was the NC a freak happening inside the pattern or will we see regular championship runs.

Coach O’s avg final ranking after 4 full seasons?
19.
A great season.
A decent season.
A couple of sucky seasons.
Some good hires. Some horrible hires.
Some great decisions. Some pathetic decisions.
I think we ride this pattern as long as O is here.

Yup. I always think teams with a 20 point lead at halftime are “lucky to win”.

If Bama had three more mins though.... Look LSU dominated Bama but should have won by at least 20.

So besides 2019 you have to go all the way back to 2011 to find a year where LSU didn't frick up and lose to a less talented team?

This isn't helping your argument

But even when Miles was HC, the talent has always been there to compete against Alabama, and Saban knows that, but his smug arse knows LSU's coaching has always held them down.

Talent was similar except at QB. QB play was Miles' downfall. Sticking with Cameron who didnt upgrade this was the end of the line.
The team with the best QB play during Miles' tenure won those games every year except 2012. What a terrible loss, still not over that one.

This bullshite narrative that LSU is the most talented team needs to end. It’s false. We are probably top ten and most certainly capable of making a run on almost any given year but to say that we match up with the likes of Alabama Ohio state and Clemson year in and out is nonsense.

To beat Alabama, we have to play our best game and they have to play their worst game. End of discussion. That’s the way it’ll always be as long as Saban is there.

Yeah, but what if LSU had three more minutes? We would have beat the piss out of them.

What do you think the national average is?

BTW, in 2012 we lost to Florida, Alabama and Clemson in the bowl game. None of those teams were obviously less talented than LSU. If you won't let me go back to 2012 and 2011, and you call 2019 a fluke, then you are limiting the discussion to the decline years of Les Miles. Okay.

Talent was not similar between Bama and LSU for the last 5 years of the Miles regime. During that time, they routinely had much better draft classes than us, and they passed us up as NFLU. Bama put 22 NFL, or near NFL, players on the field every year. LSU might have had 15 or 16. Usually at least three of our offensive linemen were not even good enough to sniff the NFL (We had T-Bob playing significant snaps). And although we would field a lot of future NFL stars many were too young to play toe to toe with Bama.

If the game was 3 mins longer, LSU scores a TD instead of running the clock out. 53-41.

Peej you are retarded.

if anything Bama was lucky we didn't pistol whip them worse.

Facts: Bama never had the ball with a chance to take the lead in the second half
Bama scored a early touchdown on a trick play
Bama scored a touchdown on a punt return that was a miracle. Racey should have finished the guy off

Per usual, the winner of this one should be on their way to representing the SEC West in Atlanta.

What a stupid statement. The same could be said for every team in the West since Bama usually makes it to Atlanta.

Except that I'm pretty sure teams have beaten Bama (and thus were 'the winner of this one') and not gone to Atlanta. Ole Miss and TAMU maybe?
