I’m starting to develop a hate for Texas. That burnt orange is horrendous.

They can have this small victory. September 7th, 2019 we going down to austin and whooping that longhorn arse. The beatdown will also be televised on a REAL channel, not this longhorn circle jerk network

The Long Horn Network exclusive thing is annoying but I really don't know how much of that is actually their fault and how much of it is contracts and ESPN

While I agree with everything you said, I have to admit that the guys in the booth have done an okay job tonight.
They're obviously not going to be 100% neutral, but I can respect the way they've gone about it.

All the commercials repeated after each team had 3 outs! It must be like how the North Koreans brain wash their citizens.

It seemed fine to me, it was awesome of them to get Ben to be a part of the broadcast.

Didn't seem bad to me at all. They can support their own station, power to them.

I didn’t think it was that bad and the production value was really good

Are they? I haven't looked into it much but I don't know if it's been as big of a success as they thought. It would seem that it would limit their exposure as well but I guess if you are a baseball fan you are going to find a way to watch your team. It's not like football where you just turn on the tv and watch whatever game is on.

Unfortunately since the inception of the LHN, we've had the last couple of years in the Mack Brown era, and the absolute shite show that was Charlie Strong. There has been a renewed interest amongst Texas fans since Herman took over. It's also great for other sports that generally wouldn't get TV coverage, like baseball, softball, and volleyball.I don't think any university would pass if given the opportunity to have their own independent sports channel powered by ESPN.

Every SEC school would pass on leaving the SEC Network for their own independent sports channel. The LHN lost 48 million in the first 5 years. The SEC Network is printing money and sending big checks to each school. ESPN would dump the LHN today if they could get out of that ridiculous contract they signed.

Texas signed an exclusive TV contract with ESPN for their own channel and the millions ESPN thought they would make with the Texas fan base. From the get go 92 percent of these Texas fans who were more than willing to pay for it could Not get it because of the fight of what local providers had the rights ($$$) to carry it!
As a LSU Tiger fan since 1957 living in Austin I was an eye witness to this s**t show. I could not agree more with the poster above about Texas's obnoxious entitled fan base. I liked to call the local sport radio station and have a good laugh at their expense. My call name was Tiger Mike and for 20 years I laughed at the Clown Brown era.
The Shorthorn network was a $$$ grab to build their brand. Geaux Tigers
