This is probably the most important remaining game on the schedule

For a variety of different reasons.
A win here and we are essentially a lock to make the playoffs, assuming we take care of business at home. Vandy isn't going to be a pushover, but that is a game we should win when we are shelling out as much money as we are for these players and coaches. It would also take away some of the significance and pressure off the Bama and OU games solely with respect to making the playoff.
I think this is a big game for BK and the staff (most importantly for Sloan). This is the first time he has been in this position with this program with an opportunity to go 5-0. These are the kinds of games we hired him to take over and win. We have the talent. Now go out and get this team prepared to play.
For Sloan, we need to be able to be balanced and move the ball effectively. I'm not saying we need to score 50+, but we have to show that we can sustain drives and not be predictable or one-dimensional. He has to take some pressure off of our defense and we HAVE to take advantage of opportunities in the red zone. If we still have the same problems that we have been having during his tenure (not being able to run the ball, predictable play-calling, red zone woes, etc.), then it will be a huge problem.
I only worry because I think we will play sound football, but Kiffin is a sneaky bastard and will have some tricks up his sleeve to be sure.
Big game for the team and for the program. Let's go out and bring back a win.

I think the Cocks will be hard.

I'm not counting on anything until I see more of our offense playing like that 1st drive in the 2nd half against SLU except against SEC teams

What about South Carolina?

The 4 road SEC games are all tough. Ole Miss looks like they're at worst a confident explosive football team, Vanderbilt is the best they've maybe ever been, Alabama is down but has dudes and will likely have their backs to the wall by then, and Oklahoma looks really good on defense with a high upside QB. I think we win all our home games, so win at least 2 of those 4 road games and we're in the playoffs, win 3 of them and we're in the SEC Championship game, win all 4 of them and this a top 3 regular season in LSU football history.

Only because it’s the next game…they are all important

correctomundo! After we beat Ol Piss, the next most important game will be USCe, and so on and so forth.

You are absolutely correct because it is the next game. Just be 1-0 this weekend!!

All said is true, but CBK- Sloan- Nuss- Baker- Defense- can only do what the OL(Achilles heel) right now
Allows us to do, if they can’t block and stay on the field to take “some” pressure & time off the clock , Kiffin will find a way to put points up.

my take on the schedule is this:
the defense, if they stay healthy and on top of things, will keep us in any game.
the offense, if it doesn't show improvement in the run game\line overall, can allow us to lose any game. get the offense rolling by chance, there really isn't a game that worries me.

This is a pretty stupid take. So much can change between now and the end of the season. From here on, our next game will always be the ‘biggest game of the season’
It’s like that when you’re contending

I actually agree with you with this being the most important game remaining on the schedule. There is a lot of football left on the season but this game heading into the bye is huge. There a few changes they could make to make the offensive more efficient and it is a lot easier to do so with a win sitting at 5-0.
What makes this game very intruiging is that this is a battle of weaknesses and strengths. Weaknesses: Ole Miss rushing defense vs LSU rushing offense. Strengths: Ole Miss Offense vs LSU Defense.
3 Keys offensively: 1. Get Aaron Anderson, Hilton, Barion Brown, or Zavion matched up against Sage Ryan and attack that matchup.
2. Establish the run early in the game.
3. No pre-snap penalties.
Defensively: 1. Stop the run all-together. HB Runs or QB runs.
2. Maintain pass rush lanes to prevent the QB escaping the pocket.
3. Limit the big play.
This game will tell us a lot about our team this year. We were very prepared for Week 1 I would like to see us be very prepared for this one. I like the leaders on this team and expect us to come to play but we cannot be relying on our defense holding a Kiffin Offense to 10 points. We need to score touchdowns and make Kiffin's offense consistently drive the field and hold them to FGs.

I disagree. Not to say the others aren't important, but a win is huge for us. Takes a good bit of pressure off and this game will be tougher than Vandy and SC for sure. I like us against A&M at home too.
You take care of business there after a win at Oxford and the outcome of the Bama and OU games becomes moot at that point outside of seeding and SEC Championship aspirations.
Most important thing for this team is get to the playoffs and let the remaining chips fall where they may.

Buddy, look at the rest of the schedule.
If you lose this game, you're for sure going to have to either go undefeated OR beat either OU/Bama on the road. I'd rather not have to do that if we don't need to.
