David Cutcliff can't keep up recruiting. Art Briles is a slime ball. Even at a different level than Petrino.

Basically you have Herman come sit down with the TAF. They write checks and make it rain.
If only, if only.....

I know a lot you think CLM is a class act and I agree, but for who think that and propose going after Petri no and Briles....Wow!
Petrino is a scumbag. He looked at every other HC job that was open when he was at Louisville, bailed mid season on the Falcons and wasn't even man enough to a dress his tea, instead he left a note, then his whole affair with the gal at Arky.
Please this guy is beneath LSU and I'm not willing to go for wins and give up class and put up with the baggage and scummy character of this clown.
Briles is probably worse in that he covered up crimes of football players for the end game of winning. If he was clean he would still be at Baylor. It was bad and Baylor didn't use him as a scapegoat, they got rid of him because he was crooked. We might never know how bad it was because Baylor will never release their investigation findings.

Just don't talk about this issue anymore. Highly uninformed. Really, you're knowledge about the Baylor scandal is laughable.
Hint 1: don't take everything you hear on the radio at face value, they like to use a lot of sensationalism.
hint 2: Schools like A&M, Texas, TCU, SMU, and other in state Texas schools with big football programs gain a LOT from Baylor regressing back to their norm. UTx has every incentive for Baylor to regress in terms of recruiting, season victories, everything. You don't think they want that? Of course they do.

Meh. Would be Curley Hallman 2.0

Maybe. I wouldn't hate the hire.

Art Briles
Only if the AD and board hired and paid the DC separately - essentially a defensive "co-head" coach.

No thanks, although I think he's a fine coach. Not the right fit and he's way past his prime to be taking on such a job.

I honestly wouldn't mind this as our #3-4 if Herman, Jimbo, and (ugh) Petrino say no to life changing money. His offensive scheme, with LSU talent, would be absolutely devistating to the SEC. His defenses are relatively strong as well. Not entirely sure how he would recruit the next level but the dude can flat out coach.

Really? Sustained success at the top of a p5 conference. Nat'l championship and a trip to the playoffs. Don't let one bad game affect your opinion of a solid coaching resume and consistent QB developer.
Before that loss to Louisville, no one on here was saying this.

If Herman is not available how about Chris Klieman of North Dakota State? They always contending and winning nation all titles. That is some one that wants to contend every year. I think he's worth a look.
The guy who built the program and won the first three titles is now at Wyoming.

That was "wouldn't and spell correct made it "would by".
I agree with you!
I agree with you!

Dan Mullen would be pretty awesome as well I would prefer HERMAN first, BRILES (not a good person) Petrino scandal much easier to accept than Briles. I feel Dan Mullen as superior hire over Jimbo and I really like Jimbo.
