I post this in hopes that with your long history as a fan, you may have serious clout. The problem is above the coach and AD.
F. King caused this. He has poisoned the program. What top-flight coaching candidate would come to an organization that isn't completely committed to the program from the very top to the bottom? Why come to an organization headed by a man who was too lazy to spend the time and effort to explain a righteous and correct position that the program MAKES MONEY FOR THE UNIVERSITY. That the large investments bandied about was not a waste of money in a hostile legislative environment... to the contrary, it is hard financial times that require these investments because it is these investments that ultimately INCREASE REVENUE that portions of can be given to the academic side.
This is basic stuff, people. And we have a man at the top who would rather cower down to the idiots in the legislature than to take the time and effort to be a leader and explain to them how and why they are wrong. The university needs someone to defend its position and explain its worth in times of economic hardship. Not a man who does the opposite.
Top flight coaches are smart people. This is the way they see it. We need to cut out the cancer at the top.

Amazing. Sure LSU appreciates the support.
Better than I could stand any longer. After 25 + years, told TAF and LSU I was done. Much less stress in my life just watching on TV.
And the head coach search was a complete FARCE. Over a year to consider it and we hire a DL coach that was unemployed 18 months earlier.

The logic behind it obviously went over your head.

Nothing like sitting in Tiger stadium on a Saturday night. It is in my blood.

I think it's probably the most embarrassing defeat since 1999 when Dinardo and Tepper had two such humiliations, to teams with losing records: 41-7 to Auburn and 5-31 to Kentucky. Both of those losses showcased LSU's ineptitude in full relief, as did the loss at Starkville on Saturday.

promised one thing and delivered something different.
Here is the issue. Les never promised a damn thing. He stood by his ways til the day he was fired. Yes, they talked to other coaches, but he never once promised to change the offense. And def not with Fournette here.
Now O, O has promised a bunch and has delivered a team that played with no heart on Saturday.

a pithy observation that contains a general truth, such as, “if it ain't broke, don't fix it.”. Well played.

Just how long a "chance" are we supposed to give him?
His buyouts make me think that time frame is 2-3 years.
