Very strange crash out happening here.
Feels like he's just lashing out.
Also, seriously doubt Jay promised a fulltime starting job in the 3/4 hole to anyone. Hell, nobody on this team has been in the same lineup spot all year

It’s a symptom of what’s wrong in this world.Adults feel the need to to put down and criticize players on the teams they supposedly support. These kids are 18-21 years old for the most part not physically or emotionally mature and yet you ADULTS are ruthless towards some of them.I m sure it makes you feel like BIG MEN.You should be proud of yourselves.I will pray for you.

I'm embarrassed for your son. I hope he never sees your post.

I'm betting you're still looking. You could have never looked at all in the first place. If there's a messageboard where your son goes next, be sure and avoid it.

Lied. I was in the room. Don’t ever think that is not what was promised. Go find some of the other parents and ask them what Jay promised.
I'm sure he was promised an opportunity.

It’s not uncommon for talented players to spend time on the bench throughout a season. The key is to stay committed, work hard, and remain a good teammate—eventually, opportunities come. Expecting to be handed something without earning it is unrealistic and naive. Life isn’t fair, and success requires perseverance. When faced with setbacks, the best approach is to adjust, adapt, and push forward.
In college sports, players may be promised opportunities, but that doesn’t guarantee playing time. More often than not, it comes down to performance. Complaining and searching for others in similar situations doesn’t change that reality. Everyone faces struggles, and quitting when things don’t go as planned isn’t an option in the real world. That mindset doesn’t prepare players for life beyond sports.
I have no issues with Priester and wish him the best, but entitlement doesn’t lead to success. Understanding how the world works is an important lesson that you should be teaching.

Why’d you name your kid “Blaise”?
Also, you won’t convince a single person here that Jay promised ANYONE any position or spot in the lineup. If that’s how you took whatever was said, then that’s on you.

People seriously trash talking players is quite rare on this board. And it will get deleted if it’s too bad. People will bring up concerns that are based in truth a lot about players ( like Braswell not hitting for shite), but no one has trashed talked him.
If this is about Priester this thread is just dumb. No one on here has trashed a kid that never even plays.

You're acting like people were talking shite on your son all year when I can assure you that was not the case because 98% of people on this board don't know your son exists

I don't think I saw a single person start a thread to make a negative comment. I saw one comment in a game thread about Preister not being ready or something to that effect that this poster took negatively. But for the most part I have not seen a single bad thing mentioned about him.
shite, I saw a lot more negative comments about Eyanson then I did Priester. And Eyanson has been a very good pitcher for us this year after some early struggles lmfao. It would have made sense if Eyanson's parents came on this board to respond to those idiots making those negative comments.

There are a lot of different lenses that this is viewed through.
As a parent, you have one view, wanting the best for your kid. Not a thing wrong with that.
Then there’s the coaches view, very complex, having to constantly weigh the strengths and weaknesses of players towards the overall team fighting for a NC.
Then there’s here. LSU fans are crazy and passionate and some go overboard. Some negative posters are sincere but just assholes, probably in everything in life. Then there’s the internet trolls who live to anonymously shite on anything, it’s pathetic but a reality.
So sounds like a tough situation but it’s good to look at the big picture. Wish you all the best.

Weird crash out in a thread that will be whacked. Nobody talked crap about your son because 95% of fans had no idea he was even on the team. Hard for people to talk crap when he could barely crack an AB in mid week blowout.
Sorry you felt that way. Maybe you and your son are better suited for a mid major where only families and GFs watch him play.
