This board told me after every game, WW was not a good X and O coach

That was his criticism this year, that while he could recruit, he can't coach the x and o of basketball.

That he looked lost. That he didn't have answers.

Yet, these same "fans" now want us to believe he would have figured out a way to win yesterday, a way to score more points (when our offense has been meh all season long)?

None of this makes any sense.

Can anyone make it make sense?

Will Wade was dumb, and not that good of a coach. Good thing he is gone.

It’s not like we lost by 20

It was a 1 point game late on. Stands to reason he could’ve made a difference especially with how the tempo was lacking early on

The team was lost yesterday. Lacked energy. Offensive sets disnt exist. Rotations made no sense (fudge in game before 1st media timeout). With Wade, we win by 10 and control the tempo. If you can't see that, then idk what to say.....

That's been our MO all season. Get in a big hole late and storm back but fall short.

Except, the team has looked lost for most of the season. They have struggled early in most games.

Yesterday was no different.

Yea that sequence where we had something like

Williams
Gaines
Fudge
Days
O’Neil

Was painful. Don’t think you’d see that mix in this game under Wade

Putting “fans” in quotes is the rant equivalent to still wearing masks. Pointless, annoying, and only to show everyone else how much better you are.

WW is a shitty coach , who was a great recruiter because he was the highest bidder.. That doesn’t change..

I don't think I'm better than anyone... but I think a number of our fans (is that better?) are whiny titty babies who never played any sports besides Madden Football...

To be honest. This was a consolation game for both teams, because Wisconsin would destroy either of these teams next round. I say better to get this year over with .

The 5-star talent assembled > "5-star talent" (what they are good at individually may or may not equate to what they are good at collectively).

Until human beings are not robots, "who we are" is more complex than being reduced to star rating.

Inspiring, unifying, focusing, vision, purpose...coach!

Xs and Os...coaches!

Paying recruits and their fiancee's with own money and leaving a paper trail like a snail qualudes...crumbles all of the above. Amateur.

You do, though. Everyone that doesn’t think like you isn’t a real fan.

LSU only won 2 games by 10 since the month of February and that was against dead-last UGA and Mizzou. No way I think we win by 10 regardless of the coach just by how they were playing D on us. We might have won with Wade, but we likely would have had to just edge them out.

Also, without the SEC refs, we had 13 more free throws than Iowa State and we still lost. We looked similar to how we looked whenever we played bad this year: Nobody moving to the ball on offense, wild drives to the hoop with no plan in mind once jumping in the air with the ball, senseless turnovers, open 3s for the opponent and too many missed free throws in crunch time (same complaints we've had all year).

The bar for basketball was very low when he got here. He raised that bar through sheer energy, passion and cheating. He made LSU basketball fun, relevant and frustrating. He will be remembered for all those things. He will not be remembered for his mastery of the game or his ability to out-coach anyone during the game.

Wade only won because he outbid other teams for elite athletes

There's plenty of reasonable disagreements.

For example, should our baseball team start better fielders or better hitters?

Blaming Woody and supporting WW is not reasonable, it is reactionary and immature.

This is all fair, and why I think he would have lost yesterday.

He wasn't the greatest X's and O's coach, true, but he also was not a complete disaster in that area like Nickelberry.

I mean this team looked utterly discombobulated the entire game. They looked lost on defense and made very few adjustments.

That wasn't the case throughout the year when this team was healthy.
